Day 55: Task Alert - 'It'll be all white'

For this week’s shopping task, the housemates will have to keep that ‘dirt off their shoulders’ and their acts clean. Big Brother has given the housemates pristine white suits and dresses for the day, which the housemates will have to make sure they keep clean. “Easy” you say… think again, the housemates will all have their outfits inspected by Kim Woodburn, who will deem whether their suits and dresses are clean enough to pass inspection.

If Kim detects too much dirt on the outfits, the housemates will be charged for their outfits to be cleaned. The cleaning charge will be deducted from the housemates luxury shopping budget of £300, which the housemates will begin the task with.

The object of the task is to stay clean and to keep the outfits perfectly white. The housemates will be subjected to a number of attempts to make them dirty.

Bloody Awful Mary’s

One housemate will be called to the diary room and asked to collect a tray of tall glasses filled with tomato juice. They will then have to carry them back into the House for their fellow housemates. When they return to the diary room hallway, they’ll find there are a series of hurdles to climb over of increasing size. Naturally, each hurdle will be covered in paint.

Lady and the Tramp

Housemates will have to sit opposite each other on electronic rocking horses. They must feed each other pea soup with long wooden spoons, while rocking backwards and forwards.

The Paint Bomb

One of the housemates will be called to the diary room, once in the diary room the housemate will be greeted with a balloon filled with foam and food colouring that is slowly inflating. The housemate will be told that the balloon will explode in 60 seconds; the housemate must protect themselves by wrapping themselves in cling film for when the balloon pops.

Finders Keepers

Two housemates enter the small task room which has been dressed with lots of shelves, boxes, objects and the door locks behind them. In the middle of the room is a huge box locked by a padlock.

An alarm sounds and Big Brother explains that the room will self destruct in 60 seconds. The housemates must find the key that has been hidden in the room, open the padlock, and get inside the box to protect themselves for when the room implodes.

Hallway Mission Impossible

One housemate will go to the diary room, but when they leave, the hallway will have been transformed into a web of paint covered threads. The housemates will have to negotiate their way through the webs to get back into the House.

Will the housemates come out of this squeaky clean? Updates to follow.

TASK RESOLVE
‘IT’LL BE ALL WHITE’

Yesterday, housemates won a luxury shopping budget of £300. To celebrate, housemates were given white suits and dresses which they had to keep clean all day in order to keep their full luxury budget. However, housemates had a special guest yesterday, a Queen of Clean who would be inspecting just how clean they had kept their costumes.

For every outfit deemed dirty by Kym Woodburn, housemates would lose £50 off of their budget.

Alex was the first housemate to be challenged and was asked to carry a tray of “Bloody Awful Marys” from the diary room to the housemates. After dropping the first tray before even leaving the diary room chair, Alex reattempted to carry the drinks to the housemates and managed to overcome giant obstacles in the diary room hallway.

Aaron and Tom were set a soup-eating challenge whilst sitting on electronic rocking horses. They had to feed each other pea soup with giant spoons whilst being shaken. They successfully managed to feed each other all of the soup with minimal spillage.

Jay was called to the diary room next and faced a slowly inflating, paint-filled balloon. Jay had to wrap himself in cling film to protect his suit before the balloon popped.

Louise and Faye were called to the small task room and were told they had 60 seconds to find a key that would open a padlock on a giant box. By getting into the box, it would protect them from paint that would be showered into the room. Louise and Faye failed to find the key and were covered in blue paint.

Alex and Aaron were called to the diary room where they faced a web of paint strung between the walls of the hallway leading to the diary room. After negotiating their way through, they were then told they had 30 seconds to make it back into the house. Aaron convinced Alex to jump the last few hurdles; she failed and fell through the wet strands, staining her dress with red.

Housemates were then asked to line up in front of a white wall in the garden in order from the cleanest to the dirtiest. Kym Woodburn then assessed each housemate on whether they were clean or dirty. She deemed Aaron, Jay and Tom to be clean and Alex, Faye and Louise to be dirty.

The dirty housemates each incurred a £50 cleaning fine from their shopping budget, meaning that housemates were left with £150. Housemates then earned an extra £50 for impressing Kym by cleaning the house. Housemates were also rewarded with a takeaway and beers last night.
