The whole incident has merely proven to me that Ben has a real need to be liked so he doesn't instantly see the alterior motive! IMO

Ben played along because he thought he was saving face, imo - he is far from silly he probable thought Shabby was a thicko coming to him after the way he had treated her.

The only ulterior motive Ben is concerned with is his own.

Shabby and Caoimhe need to grow up and get on with their BB experience. Otherwise they will miss the journey.

I think from the way he seeks approval and support from his cronies, he took Shabby's task to be an apology. He even said how much it had made him feel better as he thought he had blown it with her. Very insecure man in my opinion.

I agree. Caoimhe needs to tell Shabby directly if she doesn't want anything to happen between them and Shabby needs to accept that her object of lust is straight and taken. A bit like Mario needs to with Ben.

I think he would not give any of them the time of day on the outside.

Ben got eight nominations today because the housemates are picking up who the plotter is in his group.
And that is why Ben needs Mario, Dave and JJs support - up to now they have deflected suspicion from him by being in his company, the shields are slipping and in my opinion Mario, Dave and JJ are nothing more then a security block to him, not a security blanket.
