Pause for ThawIt takes a lot of energy to melt ice, and in the case of the glacier that's been separating Noirin and Marcus for the past few days, it looked like it would take the heat of a hundred suns to even take the top coat off. But what's this? A break in the clouds? It could be, after Marcus allowed Noirin to lie on a quilt next to him in the Garden. And the significance wasn't wasted on Noirin…
"I think I'm making progress with Marcus," Noirin said to Charlie and Dogface as the three of them sat in the Living Area.
"What's he said to you?" asked Dogface excitedly.
"Nothing," replied Noirin, "but he let me lie down next to him," she added with a giggle.
"Yeah, 'cause he moved up didn't he," said Dogface, "I saw him."
"Not that I did anything wrong," said Noirin, "but I don't think he's used to forgiving easy and he holds a lot of anger in him, instead of being like '**** it'."
"Yeah, he dwells on it," agreed Dogface.
"I know sometimes I forgive too easily, but I'd rather just forgive and get on with things than be angry," Noirin added.
"Yeah, I do," nodded Charlie. "I don't like grudges."
"And I hate having tension in the House," said Noirin.
Hmm, then you might want to think about not causing any Noirin…
