About time. My theory on this is that having a HM called Halfwit or Dogface winning the show (which would still get a fair deal of coverage in the media) would make BB more of a joke than it's regarded as already by the mainstream.

tbh honest only BB were calling them that, HMs and the general public were using their proper names

imo it was a pretty stupid task to achieve full HM status

It's only now that Bea has turned her wrath on Freddie that they are showing her up for the nasty piece of work she is, which smacks of hypocrisy to me. I've no sympathy for Bea, Freddie, Marcus or Siavash - they are as bad as each other in different ways.

A point I totally agree with. ()^

Yep, there certainly seems a flavour of engineered soap opera about this Big Brother, even more than other years.
Ruins the show's credibility, but this is what we've got.

Pretty sure that most media articles would have a headline like 'Halfwit upsets so and so' or 'Dogface faces eviction'. So I can just imagine the headline 'Halfwit wins BB' met with a chorus of 'well some things never change then' ;)
But yeah, the only thing stupider than that task was dragging the result of it out for 10 weeks!!!

No Love Lost

Bea and The-Housemate-Formerly-Known-As Halfwit have been locked in a mutual grumpathon for several days now, and both sides are making a good effort to keep slating each other.

The The-Housemate-Formerly-Known-As Halfwit has been talking about Bea in the Kitchen with Marcus. "It's so funny when you switch from thinking of somebody as a close friend and... not quite a lover, but in a similar sort of emotional space, to thinking of them as a strategic competitor," he said, chuckling. "If I'm feeling stressed out I'll just go and have an argument with Bea." He stopping joshing and adopted his usual philosophical tone. "No, that's negative though. There was a time in my life when I would've responded to this kind of attacking argumentative style with..."

"With gusto?" suggested Marcus.

"Yeah," nodded The-Housemate-Formerly-Known-As Halfwit . "But the thing is, that's not me. One thing I learnt from this is how **** it is to be on the receiving end of it. The thing is to be assertive without being aggressive."

He didn't mention his ears burning, but at the same moment Bea was listing some of his flaws in the Garden.

"Honestly, I'm finding him really sarcastic and difficult," she moaned to David.

"Take it in your stride, Bea," advised David. "Use it against him."

"I just don't want him around me," the jailbird said sadly. "I don't like an atmosphere."

"'Oh woe is me'," she continued, doing an impression of her arch nemesis. "You know, he's going through his 'darkest hour', and the next minute he's jumping around."

The topic then turned to eviction night and how the housemates might be perceived by the public. "I think even if people don't like you, they'd rather keep in a genuine b**** than a fake goody-two-shoes," said Bea.

There was a pause before she added, "Not that I'm being a b****."

We're saying nothing.

Hair Apparent

Image

While some housemates have spent the whole day scheming, complaining and backstabbing, others have more pressing matters on their minds. Like hair.

"My hair looks like cauliflower cheese," complained Rodrigo bitterly, yet imaginatively.

The-Housemate-Formerly-Known-As-Dogface rolled her eyes. "He combs it back and then he brings it forward to the same way it looked before," she told Siavash.

Siavash was dumbfounded. "I have not seen a guy like you Rodrigo. All the time, fixing your hair. What the **** is wrong with you?!"

Rodrigo burst out laughing. "Because my hair at the moment is looking like a cauliflower cheese!" he explained. Er, right.

The-Housemate-Formerly-Known-As-Dogface had had enough. "Rodrigo, how can you complain about hair? Have you seen mine? Have you seen this?!" she shrieked, holding up a strand of her own hair for inspection.

"What did they call you today?" asked Rodrigo, remembering some teasing from this morning. He could hardly get his words out for laughing so hard. "Rod Stewart?!"

"He's got good hair," said Siavash reassuringly.

"He's got mad hair!" spat The-Housemate-Formerly-Known-As-Dogface.

"I think you look brilliant," Siavash comforted her. "Rod Stewart - it's a compliment."

But the lookalike wasn't convinced. "I get treated like a man in here!" she laughed. "Do you think I've got a willy?!"

More importantly boys - do you think she's sexy?

Remember when you hear Preston's views on the housemates that he himself went on CBB to kick start his career - the kick wasn't hard enough because his career never took off. :D
