Already noted in another thread that there's a meeting on today.

Even Davina has supported viewers getting on to C4 to bring back the live feed. She says "I watch what you watch and get info from the producers and watch streaming all day on fridays...at work"

It's now smelling more like a publicity stunt ?

The powers that be knew they would lose viewers because of the live feed axe and have now taken the decision not to listen to the complaints from the BB core base. The show is nothing more then a cheap version of the original and aimed at the viewrs who want the house to be full of crude, outrages housemates. Sad to say they have won this battle. :8o:

DAVINA McCall urged Big Brother fans to sign a petition to convince Channel 4 to bring back the 24-hour live feed of the show.

Nice to see that the sites like BBFans are well ahead of the official C4 site and the press on the topic, we reported on Davina's comments yesterday and have had an update today (above).

Are the press so starved of live feed themselves that they are (re-)using our stories ? ${ ()^

Rumours abound that the live feed is coming back, following a meeting between C4 and Endermol today. Nothing official as yet.

No matter what, there just is no room on C4's Freeview channels for a red button feed, so that will not happen. This will be for Sky/Virgin viewers.

Figures being quoted as being as low as 10,000 viewers on average for live feed on red button.

This could turn out to be 'filler' on E4 during the day, which we've hasd before, rather than a full 24/7 live feed. We'll have to wait and see.

I think, and hope, that now we have Davina talking about the live feed we might be getting it back. :)

Or we'll all have to go round and watch it at her place...? ()^

Why does the show have to be broadcast through the red button, they can just broadcast it on E4. I think the powers that be just don't want to deal with anymore negitive BB headlines and the only way they can prevent that from happening is to have complete controle. If that is it then BB is not a reality TV show any more, it is just like another episode of Shameless.

Bear in mind that newspapers printed today are often carrying information they got yesterday...

I'm waiting to hear how the meeting went yesterday, not just a Daily Star report of a standard letter that C4 sends out.

Latest from Davina on Twitter...
I know there is no live feed.can't do anything bout that but am on case re website

The other big complaint this year is how p* poor the C4 website is. It's not getting updated when things happen, site navigation is a nightmare with many of the menus stuck on day 2, and even when you do find a story, the page can crash out with a server error.

All in all they are doing a darned good job of pushing the real show fans away, and they'll not get them back. I was really annoyed with them last year, and refused to watch any more of the BB9 shows. Against my better judgement, I've come back to give it another go with BB10, but I'm finding it really hard to keep my interest going through sheer boredom at times.

It's my choice to be a saddo and watch as much as I can. In previous years I would have had the live feed on TV nearly all day. In the evening I'd be watching via the computer, with headphones on. Yes, I was that interested.

What are they offering this year? Highlights shows that I don't really want to see as the 'news' is a day old already. A website that is hours behind events. 'Live' coverage overnight, and I make no wonder people don't want to watch that as it will be down to the HM's sleeping before much longer. At the moment some are staying up until the early hours, it won't last.

I'll go for a wander around the newspaper sites in a while, but I may as well go trainspotting for the rest of the day... Yawn.

Thanks for nothing C4, 'cos that's what you're giving me right now.

The BB press office has the Sun and Daily Star to do the work for them, The CH4 website does not even get a dozen comments a day.

The C4 BB website gets lots of comments, but their moderators delete the majority...!

OK, so a lot of them are about the loss of live feed, but they put a gallery page up yesterday. Someone noticed that there were only 14 pics, and Siavash wasn't included, so they left a comment asking why - it was deleted very quickly, and that person got an email to warn them not to do it again! Unless it's praise the comments are being zapped.

Its more like Orwell's '1984' vision of Big brother, where the powers that be are stamping out any free speech and imposing the corporate rules on those under the watchful eye.

Do they really know what is best for the followers of the show?
