THE BIG BROTHER HOUSE: REVEALED The Big Brother house has become as recognisable a character as any of the many housemates that have walked through its illustrious doors over the past 10 series'. Each year its décor and styling has set the tone to how that series will play out. As we say goodbye to the iconic programme this summer, Big Brother bosses have gone to huge lengths to create a house that is fitting for this momentous occasion. Continuing with the celebratory theme, this year's house is an eclectic mixture of circus and carnival, and the hidden and the mysterious. It is Alice in Wonderland meets Salvador Dali, as bright colours and unexpected motifs fill the interior and exterior décor in an explosion of patterns that resemble a fairytale gone bad. In the garden a fair ground carousel come smoking area sits alongside a stone-clad swimming pool and round wicker snug. Painted green foliage climbs up the walls to a cloudy sky as the odd circus animal is dotted around in this scene that resembles the gardens of Babylon. Look out for the bear, horses and of course… the chickens! The outside comes inside as clouds line the walls of the living area, foliage decorates the surfaces and images of birds are scattered around. The boundaries to all rooms are blurred with glass walls and sculptures dividing the house into set areas. There is no where to hide. The circus theme continues in the bedroom, with pictures of clowns, strong-men and horses decorating the walls and furniture. There are 4 double and 5 single sleigh-like beds, meaning it'll be a cosy and intimate stay for the brand new housemates. While the bathroom appears to be the ultimate in luxury - with a tiled bath and glass open shower and spectacular mood lighting - it is in fact a homage to series' gone past as discreet pictures of Davina ex-housemates and paparazzi are concealed within the floral wallpaper. Who will be the first to notice the extra eyes looking down at them? As ever, Big Brother is always watching! Unseen and unannounced is the room that is strictly Big Brother's domain… the diary room. What incarnation the famous diary room chair will take will be revealed on the first night, Wednesday 9th June, from 9pm on Channel 4. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() The Nest EXCLUSIVE!! More of the House to reveal! Yesterday we gave you an insight into the new Big Brother house; today there is another EXCLUSIVE... An extra room!! Named the Nest, it is situated in the Garden and made from natural fibres. As well as blending in to the natural world theme of the garden, this cosy cave contains enough comfy chairs to fit all of the housemates, and could well be the scene of saucy encounters... An Executive producer of Big Brother 11 told us 'it's in keeping with the traditions of other BB classics such as The Loft and The Den. It is an intimate, comforting place where housemates can go to gossip and can escape the House.' A cosy hangout for all of this year's gang, we can only imagine what will go on inside... Channel 4 |
