BB has just told the housemates about the task - they are all elated.
The prize for winning the task is the winning side gets to see the game live tomorrow.

The housemates were treated to a rendition of the National Anthem this morning with a hint to this afternoon's task.However, they suspected that it was played for Ben!

Corin 'Behind' England

It's been a patriotic morning in the House! Big Brother played the national anthem into the House and Corin sported this cheeky little number in the shower.

The saucy undies seem fitting with the big match coming up tomorrow as England take on the old foe, Germany, in the last 16 of the World Cup.

It appears Corin has a sixth sense and hopefully it is a sign of good things for the England football team. One thing is for sure... our boys in South Africa would be happy to see gorgeous Corin getting 'behind' them.

Big Brother has something up his sneaky sleeve for the housemates this afternoon regarding the match. They will be competing in a live link-up penalty shoot out against the German Big Brother housemates.

It is sure to be an epic battle of wits so stay glued to the Live Feed and the website for more...

England Beat Germany!

Finally, an English penalty shoot-out victory over the Germans! In an epic encounter, the English Big Brother housemates emerged as 2-1 victors over their German counterparts, after an astonishing 17 penalties a piece!

It was a nervy affair with both sides failing to find the net from their first two penalties but Dave calmly stroked home the third into the bottom right hand corner to pile the pressure on the opposition.

However, German efficiency prevailed and they clinically slotted home the equaliser from the very next attempt.

Both teams struggled to maintain composure after these strikes, missing their next 14 penalties each, and it seemed as if nobody would be able to end the deadlock, despite coming close on numerous occasions.

Thankfully for the housemates, and our own shredded nerves, Ife finally tucked away the winning penalty to spark raucous celebrations which will surely carry on late into the night.

They will be rewarded with the chance to watch the real England vs Germany World Cup encounter tomorrow afternoon. Come on England! Good luck to the boys in South Africa tomorrow.

The Winners' Dinner

As part of their prize for winning the penalty shoot out against Germany this afternoon, housemates have been provided with a typical English dinner of fish and chips, plus some booze to see it all down with.

Housemates received the following:

Fish x 11
Bread cut into the shape of fish x 1 (for Sunshine)
Chips x 12
Mushy peas x 12
Pickled onions x 12
Tomato sauce x1
Vinegar x1
Salt x1
Orange juice x 2
White wine x 1
Rose wine x 1
Lager x 14


They also received, for dessert, a giant apple pie and custard - very apt for the earlier Pies In Your Flies challenge. Has Dave had enough pies for one day?

Sunshine, who is vegan, received a bowl of crisps. Yum.
