Day 19
9.24am
Last night Heaven, Aden and Aaron were nominated for eviction. The alarm wakes the housemates and Tom relocates to the sofas with a blanket. Heaven, Aaron and Aden all talk to BB in the diary room about how it feels to be facing eviction. In the kitchen, Heaven potters about and then pours salt into the bag of sugar. Faye gets out of bed and walks out of the bedroom in silence. From his bed, Aaron looks up to her but she doesn’t look at him. In the diary room, Heaven talks about the prank she just played on the housemates saying that by putting salt in the sugar, she is “joining into the spirit of things and tuning into my inner child”. In the kitchen, Aaron offers Faye a cup of coffee and she mumbles “yes”. He also asks her if she wants a bacon sandwich, saying “it’s a good job that you’ve started talking to me again then”. Tom dips a teaspoon into the sugar and grimaces, saying it tastes like salt. Aaron ignores him and struggles to put a tray of bacon in the oven.
11.43am
Harry returns from the diary room with monkey cuddly toys as part of this week’s shopping task. Housemates are told that they need to cover the toys in their scent so they start rubbing them all over their bodies. Housemates laugh as Jay puts his monkey down his trousers. The gorilla handler, Gwynn, enters the house to introduce the task and when he sees him, Tom shouts “hello sexy!”
The shutters open and housemates see a large cage with Yambo the gorilla inside, who unbeknownst to the housemates is an actor in an animatronic suit. Gwynn continues to tell the housemates about the task and instructs them to “move slowly, no sudden movements, keep your focus down”. Alex is the first housemate to be chosen by Yambo to complete a beach ball challenge and follows Gwynn into the garden. From the house, housemates look out into the garden and Heaven says “Look at her, she’s terrified”. When she is confronted with the gorilla, Alex says “I’m from Newcastle, we don’t have these in Newcastle” and says she has never seen a gorilla before. In the cage, Alex squeals and grabs onto Gwynn’s leg. From inside the house, the housemates laugh as Alex successfully completes the task and runs out of the cage and then says to Gwynn, “At least I can say I’ve played ball with a monkey”.
1.28pm
The housemates are on the sofas waiting for the next task challenge to commence. Heaven and Mark are taken into the garden and told that Heaven has to get a photograph of Mark in the cage with Yambo. Gwynn tells the housemates to “go slow” when in the cage but Mark says “It’s very difficult for me because I get over excited.” Gwynn tells the housemates about safety in the cage and Mark says “If I feel comfortable, can I go further?” Inside the house, Anton complains to other housemates that he thinks they will fail this challenge: “I bet Heaven hasn’t got one picture yet”. When Gwynn tells the pair that they have passed the task, Mark hugs Gwynn, saying “thank you”.
2.13pm
Mark is in the bathroom, talking to Heaven about her being up for eviction. He says that he thinks lots of housemates still like her, despite her facing eviction this week. Heaven tells him “I’ve gone past the lonely and upset stage now.” In the bedroom, Aaron and Faye lie on a double bed. Faye says “I don’t like the fact I’m quite an emotional person”. Aaron retorts “are you?” sarcastically and Faye tells him to “shut up”. Aaron tells Faye that he apologised to Tom last night after their fallout but he says that Tom is still not his “favourite person”. “He said that I kissed you on the back of the neck but I didn’t”, Aaron tells Faye. “Yes you did, because I said if you do it again, I’ll elbow you in the face”, she replies and they both laugh.
2.56pm
Maisy is picked to take part in the final challenge of the task. In order to pass, she has to get up, close and personal with Yambo. As she crawls over towards Yambo, Aaron says to the other housemates “see, that’s how things happened the other night” and Harry says “her father is going to be so proud!” Yambo starts to tug at Maisy’s gorilla costume and pulls her towards him. From the living area, Aaron jokes “I was much more of a gentle lover”.
3.12pm
Tom and Alex are at the table, singing about tin foil. Alex hits her elbow on the table and shrieks at Tom. “I didn’t do anything!” he moans. In the bedroom, Louise tells some of the other housemates that she wants to get her hair cornrows. “Just get one side done” Jay tells her. In the bedroom, Jay and Anton are in the bedroom talking about the other girls in the house. Jay says he thinks that Maisy would be “very disappointing” in bed and Anton agrees.
4.50pm
For the final part of the shopping task, housemates have 90 seconds to run around the garden and collect as many bananas and monkeys as possible to earn money for their shopping budget. Each banana is worth £1 and the monkeys are worth £50. From the sidelines, Heaven shouts to the housemates “take loads! Grab it!” Housemates collect 298 bananas and 2 monkeys and therefore earned £398 towards their shopping budget.
8.22pm
Harry has prepared a special spray of garlic and water which he is putting on housemate’s pillows in the bedroom.
9.20pm
Alex and Anton are in the bedroom, tampering with Harry’s bed. They put salt and vinegar all over his bed and then cover it up with the duvet. In the diary room, Aden is telling Big Brother how he is feeling following being put up for eviction: “People ain’t looking me in the eye… it’s like a slap to my ego” he says. In the kitchen, Tom says to Aaron “are you going to speak to me properly before you go?” Aaron says that he doesn’t especially feel awkward around Tom and Tom says that he would want to be friends with him after the show. Faye walks towards the pair and there is an awkward silence.
10.07pm
Anton and Harry are enjoying a beer at the table. In the garden, Aaron says that Heaven looks like she works in the red light district today because she is wearing a very short red skirt. Maisy laughs and jokes about the night that they kissed. Aaron sarcastically says “I was mounted and…” Maisy laughs and says “sorry Dad”.
10.24pm
Aden, Louise, Jay and Heaven are in the smoking area contemplating a game of spin the bottle. Louise notices that Jay doesn’t want to play and he replies saying “Lou, I’m into you so I don’t really want to play”. Louise then says that she also doesn’t want to play because she has “never played this game” in her life. In the bathroom, housemates are speculating Aaron’s age and someone shouts “42?”. Tom says “Mark you look good for 28”. Faye and Aaron leave the bathroom. In the garden, Louise tells Heaven and Jay that she knows how to treat a man and says “when I have a man, I treat him like a king…that’s the way I’ve been brought up.” Jay looks quite pleased at this revelation and she says “Jay knows, Jay’s had a lot of women, he knows his ****”.
10.43pm
Housemates are playing in the pool. Mark and Tom jump in the pool naked. Aaron and Faye get in fully clothed and start splashing each other. In the living area, Jay is wrapping Harry in cling film so he can’t move. He tells Alex to “take over” and as Alex starts to wrap Harry, he breaks out of the film and throws a glass of water over her. “What are you doing?” she shrieks before grabbing the ketchup and threatening to squirt it over Harry. Harry manages to get ketchup on Alex before following her into the bedroom with a tin of beans, smirking. Heaven starts to shout at the housemates “not in the bedroom!” and Harry tells Alex that she started it. Heaven continues “ok, its over, no more pranks”. Harry goes into the bathroom to clean himself up and says to Heaven “stay the **** out of other people’s business”.
11.05pm
Faye and Aaron are playing in the pool. It has been 14 minutes since Harry lost his temper. He talks to Alex about the pranks earlier and says that he is “genuinely sorry”. Alex replies, “I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed” and they both smile. In the bedroom, Heaven asks Aden how he is feeling about the eviction on Friday. “I’m scared, shitting myself”, Aden says and he tells her that he is preparing for the worst. He says that on the up side, “I know for a fact if I go out on Friday, I’ll be with Rebeckah on Saturday”.
11.15pm
Aaron and Faye are wrestling in the bedroom. Faye says “shall we have a hug?” and Aaron says “every time you say that, I believe you”. They continue to wrestle and then Aaron kisses her on the cheek. In the diary room, Harry has come to apologise because he feels he “made a dick” out of himself. “I feel like I’ve let myself down in a way, I just find it utterly pathetic that something can get such a reaction out of people”.
1.02am
Some of the housemates are gathered around Louise’s bed. She says “it reeks of garlic and **** over here”. Aaron and Mark are sitting in the main living area. Aaron asks if Mark can be serious for two minutes and he says he feels a bit confused about all of the flirting that has been going on today. Mark tells him “my advice is this, the next person you kiss, make sure that that is it”.
