TASK: TOY FACTORY This week housemates are set to work in a toy factory, where they have to make teddy bears, dolls and packs of cards. But all is not as it seems. How It Works: The Task Room is transformed into a toy factory. The bossiest housemate will become the Factory Boss, who chooses two Duty Managers as their seconds in command. The remaining 8 become Factory Workers. Factory Workers have the day to fill an order for toys comprising of teddy bears, dolls and boxes of playing cards in order to win a premium shopping budget of £300. The Factory Boss & Duty Managers The Factory Boss is in charge throughout the task, with two Duty Managers as their deputies. They reside in their own luxury Office and can enjoy special privileges. They do not need to make toys, but they are in charge of overseeing the Factory Workers’ productivity and must ensure that enough toys are made to fill the three toy orders. In addition, the Factor Boss and Duty Managers are told that any toys which do not pass quality control will result in a £10 deduction from any shopping budget won, so it is in their interest to ensure toys are made both quickly and carefully. Factory Workers The Factory Workers must make toys constantly throughout the task in order to fill the order, including extra toys to allow for any which do not pass quality control. They must serve food & snacks to the Boss and Duty Managers whenever asked. The Twist Factory Worker # 1 Part way through the task, one Factory Worker is called to the Diary Room. Big Brother tells them they have the opportunity to increase the shopping budget to £500. All they have to do is make more toys than any other Housemate. Factory Worker #2 Shortly after, Big Brother calls another Housemate to the diary room. Big Brother tells this Housemate they have the opportunity to double the shopping budget to £600. All they have to do is make more teddy bears than any other housemate. |

Day 27: Shopping list sabotage With Mark gone the mood in the house has been rather melancholy but it seems nothing can get in the way of those pesky housemates and a good old fashioned prank. Earlier, Aaron, Anton and Harry were discussing the shopping list and of course they began to contemplate sabotaging it. Boys will be boys, eh? Anton suggested the money be spent on a new suit so he could get his eviction outfit sorted. Aaron obviously consumed with his presentation just as much as Anton said, “they could order hair straighteners” and Aden agreed he “needed the ceramic ones.” Huh? Are these guys not hungry? Isn’t there an old saying ‘the way to man’s heart is through his tummy’? Well not for these fashion conscious metrosexual dudes. Anton revealed the scalectrix set was still on his mind but Aaron told him to, “Forget it. It's £300 odd pounds but spend the rest on lager.” Anton went on to say, “Shall we get wax strips?” New suits, waxing - what next? Harry is already partial to the odd mini-mani and pedi. Maisy then decided to join in the conversation with the trio and said, ‘a hot guy’ should be added to the shopping list. Anton responded, “what if he doesn’t like you?” Is he a little, well… jel? Maisy confidently added, “Oh, he will.” Could life in the house possibly get any tougher for the emotional bunch or would they see the funny side to the shopping list being sabotaged. Perhaps a new hot face would ease the housemates hunger for chocolate and treats as they pine for their old housemate Mark Day 27: Shopping Harry's way Earlier Aden, Harry and Anton joked that were going to sabotage the shopping list. Well, it seems it may have just happened. A short while ago, Big Brother announced that ALL the shopping was in the store room. The housemates jumped off their seats and ran straight in to see what goodies were delivered. Let’s not forget that only about 30 minutes ago, Harry was joking with Faye that he ordered food dye so they could dye the pool and low and behold, he didn’t lie. So not only was there food dye but the store room was stocked with around 500 bananas, 50 bars of chocolate, numerous boxes of frosted flake cereal, dozens of cartons of apple juice, lots of tomato ketchup and around 50 litres of milk. Carnivore Jay was not at all happy when he found out there was no meat and threw one of the many chocolate bars into the pool as well as threatening to “kick the life out of all those bananas.” He even asked, “You think we can return it?” Harry joked with Alex, “I ordered you 50 bars of chocolate and you can’t spare one piece”, as she munched happily. Maisy then asked Harry, “Did you still order £100 worth of beer?” Harry responded, “Well if we leave the apple juice in the sun it will ferment….” Looking slightly confused, Anton questioned Harry, “What’s the ketchup for?” Harry giggled back, “Everybody loves ketchup and bananas.” An even more confused Anton quipped, “It must be a European thing.” Pondering what other foods made the cut, Aaron asked, “What else did you actually order?” Harry laughed back, “piles of rice and chickpeas.” Aaron shrugged, “At least we can make the chickpeas other colours, that’s interesting.” So, right now some housemates are tucking into bananas and frosted flake cereal with dyed blue milk and Harry is asking, “Who doesn’t love blue milk… and pink milk?!” Tom has just come up with revelation, “We can have a blue bath!” There you have it, Alex is off to run the bath but Jay is still not happy and has just gone in the diary room to voice his annoyances. Another week, another shopping drama. |

Day 27: Jay’s tandoori dreams Following the disappointment with the food delivery earlier this evening, Jay has been finding it increasingly hard to let go of the lack of meat and meals as ordered by Harry… In a conversation with Maisy, Louise and Anton, Jay discussed his pipe dream of making a curry of a lifetime. And he wasn’t just talking your bog standard out-of-a-jar jobby either – but “proper chunky” as he put it. He went into detail about the meals he had planned to make with this week’s shopping order, trailing off when he realised Harry had crushed his dreams… Elsewhere in the House, Alex spent the most part of an hour in a bath of blue food dye mixed with water, and Tom ‘milked’ a good few minutes of joy out of turning the milk pink with food dye. At one stage Harry was preparing to run for the hills after he realised his joke had somewhat made the housemates (namely – Jay) question their survival on merely bananas and chocolate biscuits. The delivery of alcohol this evening did ease some of this stress, but we can’t see this being the end of Harry’s food scandal drama just yet… |
