Here we go... Chantelle Houghton and ex-husband Preston's Big Brother 'romance' has been exposed as a premeditated, money-spinning fix. Yikes!According to Heat magazine's hottest investigative reporters, despite appearing surprised at being reunited in Ultimate BB, the pair had actually caught up beforehand and teamed up to maximise their bargaining power.
"They spoke on the phone several times before they went back in," a source close to Preston told the mag. "They discussed how much they would be paid, and when Chantelle found out Preston was getting £40,000 she went back to the Channel 4 producers and demanded the same.
"They knew they were a valuable commodity as a pair, much more than individually."
Heat also claimed a London picture agency offered to arrange for the pair to be photographed together by a paparazzo, as if caught in the act.
The pair have done several interviews and photo shoots with OK! magazine, and Preston in particular has been quite coy about whether they were an item once again. More recently they were snapped at a restaurant together.
"She wants the public to believe she's back with Preston," revealed one of Chantelle's friends. "She was delighted they got so much attention when they went for a meal. It was all set-up, of course."
