DAILY UPDATE: DAY 2


Key highlights from tonight’s show:

• The nine housemates wake up to their first day in the house. It dawns on Sophie that the shower is outside and she ‘doesn’t like that’.

• Housemates receive their first supply of simple rations. Sallie, Wolfy and Sophie are vocal about the fact that there is no meat. Jemima, Dexter, Sallie and Wolfy are the first housemates to cook in the kitchen.

• Six new housemates enter the Big Brother house: socialite Gina, ex police officer Dan, lingerie model Hazel, professional boxer Daley and mum & daughter: Jackie & Charlie.

• Michael is called to the diary room. Big Brother tempts Michael with a pizza and cold beer treat, which if he accepts, results in the six new housemates’ suitcases being destroyed. He declines the treat. Big Brother then ‘confidentially’ tells Michael that as head housemate, he gets to nominate three housemates on Monday, resulting in one being evicted on Friday. Michael is the only housemate that is allowed to do the choosing and is immune from this week’s nominations. He is pleased with this and says he ‘already has a few names in mind’. His chat with Big Brother was broadcast live to the housemates in the living room.

• Dexter chats up Hazel in the living area and tells her that she has ‘really piercing eyes’. Hazel explains that she is not a glamour model, she is a lingerie model.

• Gina is anxious to ‘bag’ herself a single bed as she doesn’t want to share with anyone. She explains that her boyfriend will be annoyed if she shares with a boy. Sophie offers to share her single bed with Gina.

• Sallie visits the diary room and tells Big Brother that she thinks ‘the lady of leisure’ is not real, it’s fake. She likes hardworking people.

• In the garden, Sallie and Sophie are discussing how desperate they are to get their own clothes back. Gina discovers she has no make up wipes and moans to Big Brother about this. Sallie tells Gina that she hasn’t got any of her own clothes, and that having no make up wipes is not a big deal which causes a heated debate, culminating in Gina trying to snatch Sallie’s hat off her head and Gina receiving an official warning from Big Brother.

• Dan mediates the heated debate and Wolfy comforts Sallie in the garden. Gina receives a formal warning from Big Brother.





1. Gina complains to Big Brother about the bed situation.

Gina “You can’t make people share beds with each other. You can’t put people in these situations. I’m not happy with it.”
Big Brother “Welcome to the Big Brother house.”
Gina (sarcastic) “Funny.”

2. Dexter is chatting up Hazel, and reveals that he received boos when he entered the house.

Dexter “So…are you single?”
Hazel “Yes.” She explains that she won’t rule out romance in the house.
Dexter (to Hazel & Michael) “I’m trying to stay loyal but I have a hall pass from my girlfriend. But if a deep connection and bond develops with two people, you don’t know what will happen but I am trying to stay loyal.”

3. Linking arms, Jack and Joe explain to Jackie that they are missing their family.

Jackie “I can be your mum!”

4. Sallie talks to Big Brother about her heated debate with Gina.

Sallie “She just attacked me; you need to deal with it. She’s a d*ck head. I’m not an aggressive person, I’m a nice person. She looks down on people, I’m a normal girl.”

Big Brother “Big Brother does not and will not tolerate aggressive behaviour and will deal with this situation. Return to the house and you and Gina stay clear of each other.”

5. Gina and Sallie’s heated debate.

Gina “Took my make up wipes and everything.”
Sallie “You don’t have your clothes.”
Gina “I wasn’t talking to you so shut up.”
Sallie “You’re not very classy who are you talking to?”
Gina “Classy, you with all your tattoos.”
Sallie “You’re pathetic with your big high incentives and you’re f**king bad skin and your bad attitude. You know what I’m a really decent person. Tomboy girl. Don’t give a sh*t. She’s p*ssing me off. She goes ‘I ain’t got no make up wipes, babe we ain’t go not clothes.”
Gina “I’m my own person. I’ll talk about make up wipes.”

I like most of the housemates - that can change daily - but so far the lot of them are only settling-in their masks will slip then we can go in fort he kill.
