DAILY UPDATE: DAY 34

Key highlights from tonight’s show:

· Housemates are woken up by song and all start dancing.

· For this week’s shopping task Big Brother has placed a giant Remote Control in the house which will pause, rewind and fast forward housemates. Housemates are told they must obey the functions.

· Housemates are second guessing and discuss what or who Big Brother may bring in for the task.

· The housemates are paused and Big Brother sends in a flock of sheep with a sheepdog and shepherd. Housemates giggle but remain still.

· Housemates are clean up ALL the mess the sheep left behind.

· Dan is called to the diary room and asked if he is wearing sun cream. ‘Not properly,’ he replies. Big Brother suggests that he applies sun cream in the diary room; as a result his face is blue and his body is pink. Big Brother actions pause followed by rewind and Dan has to go back into the diary room to put on more sun cream. This happens another two times.

· Housemates are paused. Body Language expert Judi James and host Rylan enter the house and walk around each housemate and analyse their stance. They mention relationship dynamics between housemates.

· Housemates are paused; Dexter’s mum enters the house and tempts him to move. She mentions his developing relationship with Charlie adding: ‘Not getting on with your potential mother in law.’

· Sophie and Dan discuss Dexter’s and his mum in the kitchen. ‘Nice to see that side of him’.

· Housemates are paused. Sophie’s boyfriend comes into the house and sits down in front of her. He tells her ‘I love you so much. More than you will ever understand.’ While this is happening Gina is getting tearful.

· Two tennis balls are thrown into the garden. Most of the housemates read the messages, ‘Daley has slaughtered Hazel on TV and in the press’ and ‘Jackie will go on Friday, it’s 100%’. Big Brother orders housemates into the house. Dan tells everyone not to tell Hazel and then tells her in private.

· Sophie is annoyed and tells some of the housemates including Dan that she is angry over how the incident was delivered to the group. She likens it to being talked down like a little kid and being spoken down to.

Key quotes from tonight’s show

1. Hazel and Dan are chatting in the bedroom about the house’s reaction to Daley being removed.

Hazel “It’s just hilarious in the sense, how you leave this house and you are never thought of again.”

Dan “You mean Daley?”

Haze
l “It was brought up twice yesterday…I don’t think anyone is really affected by it. It really is everyone for themselves.”

2. Callum hears Jackie telling other housemates that she would rather Dexter be around Charlie than him, Callum confides in Sam.

Callum “It doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter at all. If anything Dexter playing a game is more likely to use Charlie than I am. I am more likely to have a decent chat with Charlie and give her good advice. I am more likely to be on Charlie’s side than Dexter is.”

3. Dexter is in the diary room talking to Big Brother about his mum’s visit to the house.

Dexter “Most of the stuff she was saying to me, really did hit home. Even the whole Charlie thing because she can see the good parts in me sometimes when she watches the show and she can see how sad I can be as well because I want to be is liked. It is difficult.”

Housemates are then paused. A 90s disco party starts in the diary room with dancers. The rest of the housemates are treated to Can Can dance troupe.

4. Dan and Dexter are having a chat in the in the garden.

Dan “But how have you been such a b****rd all your life though, because I said two or three weeks ago I could see the endearing qualities about you, things that I liked?”

Dexter “I have endearing qualities but I am pretty f**king ruthless outside of here. This process has taught me a lot of empathy.”

Dan “So what has made you ruthless?”

Dexter “Just life, ups and downs. I suppose the environment. You become a product of your own environment Dan. I spent most of my life in strip and hostess clubs you basically teaching people to rip other people off. I take away some valid life skills from this process.”

5. Charlie, Hazel and Jack are in the garden sunbathing and talking about Dexter.

Hazel “I don’t see the point. You do not fancy him, you are not into him?”

Jack “I don’t even think you need to go for dinner with him.”

Hazel “I wouldn’t even say to make arrangements with him. Because he is talking about them in here and goes up to the diary room and say, ‘Charlie and me are going for dinner when we get out of here and see how things develop.’”

Charlie “But I suppose it’s a bit like, for me I genuinely want to see Dexter out of here and see him where he is not playing a game. To go for dinner with him and see what he is like.”

6. In the bedroom toilet, Dan and Hazel discuss the message written on the tennis ball.

Dan “The ball has said that Daley has slaughtered you in the press and on TV, slaughtered you. Slagged you off basically.”

Hazel “Why?”

Dan “Who knows, he’s been kicked out maybe he has sour grapes. Don’t feel sorry for him, it doesn’t mean anything. Doesn’t mean it’s true. Don’t feel sorry for him.”

Hazel “I knew this would happen.”

Dan “If anything it has made you realise don’t feel sorry for him. Doesn’t mean the public will believe what he is saying. But don’t feel sorry for him from this moment on. Just forget about it you have done nothing wrong.”

7. Hazel decides to tell the rest of the house what happened and why Daley was kicked out of the house. Dan begins to speak on her behalf.

Dan “On Sunday night there was a physical threat, a threat of violence on Hazel by Daley, Big Brother has intervened and taken it very seriously. Daley has been removed.”

Hazel “It wasn’t my decision as much as everyone thinks it is.”

Dan “It wasn’t Hazel’s decision; we’ve spoken in depth about it yesterday and today. Hazel doesn’t want to talk to everyone because she doesn’t want to keep repeating herself going over it.”

Hazel “I didn’t want to say it out of respect for Daley. Because I didn’t think it was fair for me to say Daley did whatever to me and then for you all to me like that’s not fair because he’s not here to stick up for himself.”

Hazel takes Dan to the toilet as she is clearly upset by the conversation.
