BIG BROTHER TASK: ‘TRASH FOR TREATS’
OVERVIEW Housemates must compete against each other to win their favourite treats in a game which will test whether they are selfless of selfish.
HOW IT WORKS Housemates will be told that Big Brother has bought some of their favourite items for them:
CALLUM: A romantic dinner with a housemate of your choice. DEXTER: A romantic dinner with a housemate of your choice. GINA: Laundry service for a week. SOPHIE: Luxury beauty pack. HAZEL: Luxury chocolate hamper. JACK: Half a birthday bash. JOE: Half a birthday bash. CHARLIE: Luxury cheese and wine hamper. SAM: Sports trainers. DAN: Luxury pamper kit.
Big Brother has put the Housemates into the following pairs: Dan and Joe Gina and Hazel Dexter and Callum Sophie and Charlie Sam and Jack
Each pair will have a personalised sugar glass box which contains a golden token. Each box is set up on individual plinths in the Garden. They will be called up together to a stage in the middle of the Garden and must stand back to back. In front of them will be a plinth with a hammer. Housemates must place their sugar glass box on the plinth. Housemates will then be given 10 seconds to decide whether to smash or leave their box. If they smash the box an alarm will sound.
Housemates will be told that if neither of them smash their box then both Housemates will share a small ‘treat’ which will be revealed after their turn, such as a two toilet rolls for the whole House. If one Housemate smashes, then they will win their personalised treat. However by choosing their own personalised treat, they destroy their partner’s - who will get nothing - and have to spend the evening in jail watching the rest of the House enjoy their treats. If both Housemates smash their box, both will lose their treats. Housemates are not allowed to communicate with each other, or any of the other Housemates, when making their decisions.
Housemates must place their gold tokens into the ‘Cash In’ Box’. The treats will later be revealed in the Garden whilst the jailed Housemates watch on.
