DAILY UPDATE: DAY 66 Key highlights from tonight’s show: • After Sophie’s eviction last night, housemates are waking up as Big Brother finalists. Charlie can’t believe she’s still in the house. Gina doesn’t want her Big Brother experience to end. • Sam tells Gina he feels amazing to be in the final. Jack reveals being up for eviction is the most nerve racking thing he’s ever experienced. • For today’s task, Big Brother is holding a press conference, giving the housemates the chance to deliver a speech expressing why they would be a worthy winner of Big Brother. They will then face a grilling from their fellow housemates. • Gina speech tells that she is a changed woman and that she never thought she would ever eat fish eyes and dog food in a task for her teammates. • Charlie declares she walked into the Big Brother house completely lost. Since her mum left she has come out of her shell and learnt a lot, ‘This is Charlie Travers, take it or leave it!’ • Sam announces that he’s been himself, voiced his opinions and been lazy at times. He goes onto say that he’s proud and very happy to be in the final. • Dexter reveals his journey has been a journey of understanding. ‘I’ve tried, shared and cared and fully exposed myself. It would be amazing to win just for being me’. • Jack and Joe state everyone deserves to win and it’s been the best thing they’ve ever done. ‘Twins to win’! • After the speeches, Big Brother reveals to the housemates that they now must answer questions from viewers’, celebrities and ex-housemates. These questions are screened to the housemates. • Gina is asked if she is jealous of Dexter spending time with Charlie, she replies that she has no reason to be jealous and says that her and Dexter are close anyway. • A viewer then asks Charlie why she should win. ‘I don’t think I should win!’ She goes onto say that she adores Dexter but doesn’t have any sexual feelings towards him. • Vanessa Feltz asks Sam has he done anything entertaining in the house. He replies, ‘Sorry but who are you?’ • John McCririck asks Dexter what he has got to offer. ‘I’ve offered all that I can and been himself’. • Judi James asks Gina why she has been picking off all the strong girls one by one. Gina is stunned by this and answers, ‘I can’t see eye to eye with every single girl in the house’. • Ex housemate Dan asks Dexter if he should be honest with everyone now. He replies that he’s really come into himself and is honest, and can walk out of those doors with his head held high. • Callum tells Sam to keep sticking up for himself and asks why it’s taking him so long to voice his opinion? Sam replies that sometimes he misses the whole story so then doesn’t say anything. • Hazel informs Jack and Joe they are doing well, and not to be afraid to get stuck into the ‘DCs’. She asks why are they so concerned about what people think of them. Jack says it’s because they’ve never been in a position where everyone has an opinion of them. Joe reveals he felt insecure after his friend Hazel left the house. • In the living area, Joe is talking about the science of breathing. Gina thinks he’s intelligent. • Big Brother arranges a special dinner for the housemates. A fine Italian last supper is served. Housemates are excited and toast themselves. • All housemates are asked to read out and answer questions that are inside envelopes left on the dinner table. • Charlie is asked who she has bonded with most. She answers Dexter as they have a massive connection, and she feels understood by him. • Dexter is asked what final thing he would say to one housemate. ‘Charlie, as much as you think I’m full of sh*t, you will see on the outside world what I’ve said to you is true’. • Gina is asked which housemate has changed her opinion of them most. ‘Dexter, I really didn’t like you, really strange….I’ve grown to like you and I now really like you and you are lovely to be around’. • Sam’s question is what would he change about his time in the house? He says he would spend less time in bed and try and get involved more. • Joe reveals his toughest time was last week, he felt lonely. Jack says he will miss the people in the house. • Dexter reveals he will be friends with Charlie, Gina and Sophie when he leaves. • Gina says she doesn’t want to leave the house. • At the end of the housemates’ last supper, Big Brother has a special treat for them all…positive phone messages from all their mums are played into the house. Housemates are happy. • In the pool, Jack tells Joe that he thinks Dexter will win. • One by one, housemates go to the diary room. Charlie tells Big Brother that this is ‘the place that changed my life’. Jack and Joe reveal that this has been the most amazing time for them, and all the people in the house have been like family. Gina says it’s been a whirlwind. Sam feels if he ends up winning ‘it would be the ultimate achievement’. Dexter says he will take a lot of memories with him so he can look back at them on for many years to come. Key quotes from tonight’s show 1. Dexter is in the diary room. Dexter “I feel amazing! Never ever thought I would be in the final. I’m still here! I’m taking a rucksack with me of all the things that I’ve learnt and never will do again, I will take with me. I’m ecstatic that Charlie hasn’t gone…I adore her and it’s been the icing on the cake for my Big Brother experience. Things don’t always have to be about sexual attraction, I’ll quite happily marry her and have no sexual relationship, and I’ve found a soul mate. I’ll have to live in hope; I’m not going to give up on Charlie Travers.” 2. Dexter and Charlie are talking in the kitchen. Charlie “I’m gobsmacked that I’m here. I can’t believe it.’ Dexter “I don’t want you to leave her with question marks over your head, it will affect me…” Charlie “I will go for dinner with you to talk it all out.” Dexter “I’ve never used you…I never thought I would meet people who would give me the time of day in here. It’s been a lot harder than I thought.” Charlie “I will have a good heart to heart with you over dinner with no cameras. 3. All housemates are in the diary room. Joe “Thank you very much for keeping us in! It’s been a dream come true and I hope you all enjoy Monday as much as we will all do!” |
