Corrie’s Liz Dawn: There’s nothing more doctors can do for me

FORMER Corrie stalwart Liz Dawn has revealed “there’s nothing more that doctors can do” to ease her incurable lung disease.

The 73-year-old bowed out of playing Street legend Vera Duckworth in 2008 after her lung emphysema became too bad.

And now she has admitted her health is continuing to get worse in a revealing interview.

Liz, whose illness was caused by a lifetime of smoking, said: “I have only made one plan for 2013. To make sure I am alive this time next year.”

It comes after doctors told her only a third of her lungs are still working — and that there are no new drugs to treat her with.
