::lol:: ::lol:: I was tempted to make reference to you Phoenix but im half cut and not on top form so couldnt think of anything witty to say (which has nothing to do with the fact im half cut im just not that clever)

We're all self obsessed here according to that woman from RI:SE

I've managed to read the first 2 Harry Potter books in less than a week. I am addicted to them. Now on the 3rd one. I am totally stunned at the talent of JK Rowling. That woman deserves all the success and money she has so far earned. It is brilliant-totally magical and funny. What an imagination that woman has.

Well done JK!!! :D :D :D :D

totally agree ruby - third book was my fav - but last is vv good - the only trouble is when my husband watches the film i say things like in the book that was different etc. He won't read them says it all hype - they would definately be on my list of all time fave books.

Nice Try bb4 - you need to pick a character that is actually in the book - and its in the late 600s or early 700s page wise ()^

..........perhaps i shouldn't let these things irritate me, but here goes..
It seems every other person i see on the train/bus is reading
Harry "even he couldn't save BB" Potter's new book.
It seems to me its' the latest "must have" fahion accessory, for
certain people- something they must be seen with, so thet can discuss it at
dinner parties and at Starbucks.
....sorry, rant over.....i'll get back to Houseman and Keats now... ;)

i didnt read any of the books until ages after the 4th one came out, I even was baught a copy and didnt touch it, but then I thought I would read one just so I could have an opinion on it, and lets face it EVERYONE talked about them constantly. I enjoyed it and got the other books.

I didn't read the first three books at all - someone gave me mp3 audios of them read by Stephen Fry and they were great. So borrowed book 4 and loved it but wanted to know what happened next, Amazon delivered Sat 21st and I have finished by wed - to be honest I was embaressed to carry it so put it in a bag when I was on my way to or from work. Read it at work mostly  but again it was a very good book - thoroughly enjoyed it and think she is very talented - if it gets kids reading then thats all good.
