We're probably the most chilled people you'll find, except we speak a different language to you! You've been asked, nicely, not to use 'txt msg' style but you choose to argue about that? The comments made in this thread show that people want to be able to read messages - not to have to try and work out what the heck you're on about.

I don't accept it as 'shorthand' by any means - it's lazy, simple as that! And I wondered why English teachers were having such a hard time getting pupils through exams - now I know...
