''STUNNED US Big Brother contestants were horrified to discover some will be sharing the house with their ex-lovers. Producers sprang the surprise to spice up the show. But it proved a nasty shock to those in the Los Angeles house. The first eight inside had to choose their beds before the last five - old flames of five of the others - were let in.

I watched the first episode. It was pretty good if you can ignore the slick overproduced nature of the US version. They had a food challenge immediately upon entering the house (basic rations are peanut butter and jelly!?!?!), the reactions when they got to meet the exs was pretty funny, and they appear to be able to discuss nominations openly (all the original eight agreed to band together to boot out the ex's first).
