Yep - Jee about Jun, just after they did the Spuds challenge - where HM's (sorry, USA version is HG's isn't it) had to get a similar amount of spuds in a basket, that matched the weight of their partner HG. Anything more than 25lbs out and they lost that food group - they got 50% of the available groups, losing the meat but getting the booze!

Think about the difference between a house "guest" and a house "mate".

Guest I would expect to behave and mates allowed to lounge around and help themselves to the drink!

Seem's like the other way around tho' - USA have Guests who trash the place and UK had those who were English and 'behaved' - too much!

Ugh. Not literal. Don't think about the house. Think about the contestants.
As "mates", the UK contestants were all lovey-dovey, friendly with each other and didn't want to jeopardies that. The US "guests" don't care about that, they're in it for the money, plain and simple.

When the american are bitching it is normal.
Over here they try to get on so when agruments and bitching happens it has greater effect and is more watchable IMO

The Americans, quite rightly, understand that they are not just taking part in a reality TV programme with all the analysis that goes with that BUT that it is ALSO a game show & that they are there in order to compete for a huge prize !

Perhaps we need a far bigger prize for the winner in order to get some of the first-class action that the Americans are getting !

The BBUSA housemates can be as Bitchy, or as nasty as they like because they are not voted out by the viewers.
You would see them behaving exactly the same as our lot if they were put to the public vote.
