There are rumours that an Irish edition of Celebrity Big Brother will air in approximately three weeks time, according to one of yesterday's Irish newspapers.

It is suggested that if this is successful, it will almost certainly pave the way for the first Irish Big Brother next year. According to an RTE spokesperson a fortnight ago,an Irish BB in 2004 is 'under active consideration'.

If they'd done that earlier we might have been spared Ray!

cant see RTE getting round to doing that , tv3 would have a better chance. what i dont understand is why dont they rent the house of c4 and run it from there? just fill it with irish ... the most expensive part of the show must surely be the house? i think it would be a good idea. you could have a few d4 heads ( snobs from south dublin )
a few scangers for the north side.
a few cork langers
a few bog warriors from the wesht.
a few norn iron crew.
some cute kerry hoors.
i think it would be hilarious.

how about some english or scottish contestants seeing that irish ones come over for big brother fame academy and pop idol - fairs fair

What irritates me, is that if England said we were gonna do a ENGLISH BB, we would get told off for discriminating against foreigners. Its not fair Sorry I get on my high horse here because we aren't even allowed to show we are proud being English, and believe me, I am very proud, and if it meant i was arrested for putting my England flag up in my car window in England, then it would be worth it!!!!

If there was an irish big brother , i am sure there would be some english/scotish/welsh/other in it as well .... its just that it would be MAINLY irish.
