A friend of mine is looking for information on music in 1942 - I know the UK didnt have a chart system until 1952 so we're pretty much stumped on where to get any info on it!

I've done all the usual searches on the net I just wondered if anyone cold recommend any websites or books she can use?

(Maybe Jonnyboy might know of something?)

Any info would be much appreciated!

Blimey!

Umm finding music from a certian year before the charting systems is just a matter of leg work.

Bets advice would be to look at comliations such as
This One
and go through the songs to see which were bought out in 1942.

I think my dad has some old compilations!

But I dont want him to think I'm interested in his music - his favourite singer is Slim Whitman :oops:
