the other should be a job your competent to do was not a presenting competition was it

I think all the non veiwers of C4 SU:NK says it all really Boring programme, boring presentors, boring boring

What can I add to it?

Anyone can give it their best shot, but some people should know when to call it a day

If I was Simon my advice to Kate would be "put some clothes on, you look like a slag and don't give up the I.T. It's what your best at"

As for those with nice singing voices, having a go on pop idol, totally different kettle of fish

Well let's be honest...Rise was always a pile of kak and I only ever watched it when they did the BB coverage or sometimes I flick over when that Fiona on GMTV is doing me head in or want to catch the weather...which may I add is also kak..they always get it wrong.
I don't think she should call it a day if she's rubbish if she's getting paid. I'm not particularly good at mopping floors but I can't afford to call it a day!

PI and FA are televised competitions and whatever the "staged" outcome all these kids are having a shot.

Presenters when you see than in the job, you would imagine that there must have been some selective process beforehand and therefore they were the best for the job.

Well you can't really blame Kate for staying in a job that's paying her, wether she's good at it or not. I don't think she's fantastic but I can't say she's the worst presenter I've ever seen......I still remeber Sam Fox presenting The Brits. That was hideous.

Yeah, but difference is, Sam Fox's torture of us was for one night only Kate is making innocent people suffer on a daily basis.

I blame the pathetic attempt at producers that would place such a bad presenter in their show.

Fair enough to give her a chance, but after this amount of time you would expect some improvement...its a farse to keep her in the job, though I would imagine that they dont want another change of presenters to add fuel to the fire that they just cant get anything on the program right.

Well like I said...Rise has always been a pile of kak. I don't watch it enough for it to bore me on a daily basis....Jeez I'm a working mum..I don't have time for Breakfast TV! I did like The Big Breakfast though.

I agree with HD ... Rise was always rubbish - hence the fact they tried (And failed) to change pretty much everything about it all bar the name!!!

Kate is not a good presenter, HOWEVER, I'm sure she has a contract which has to be fulfilled therefore

1) Channel 4 (or whoever the production company is) possibly cant get rid of her
2) Maybe she cant leave until her time is up
3) Maybe she thinks she's better than we do! She's hardly gonna say "god im crap at this I'm gonna go do something else" WHY SHOULD SHE???

Eventually rise will die a death but until then, no-one is forcing us to watch it - hence I dont!

BTW The big breakfast was never as good as when Chris Evans (before he got too big for his boots) and Gaby Rosilin (sp?) presented it - oh and Zig and Zag too!!

I believe the contract for rise wont be renewed not sure how long it has to run

also someone from channel 4 said that kate had been given a contract and that has to run its course hence channel 4 sticking her on various stuff

if the totp stuff true we will h ave to suffer her some more but inside rumours from the beeb is that the new format for the show has more or less killed its viewing figures and its a dead horse anyway would be sad to see it go but cant see it being saved by the has been andy peters who has seen his day as a top presenter and the awful kate lawler god help us
