Carolynne is certainly a judges favourite, and seems to be being groomed for success.
Anyone, agree with me? when i say i thought her plaudits and praise on saturday were way over the top, and unwarranted? :-?

in my mind it was confirmed to me a couple of weeks ago when peter was jumping around and shouting his head off ... then fell down on the stage , legs in the air ... couldnt help thinking of david brent .... and the looks on the faces of some people in the crowd was embarassment + cringing ... then the judges appear .... "the others performed on the stage , peter owned the stage "..... a serious question to anyone out there ... did you think that this was a good performance ....??

actually think peter would be a good front man on a band but not as a
solo artist at least he had a bit of life about him

I have been a supporter of Carolynne's for the past few weeks, she does have a lot of talent and a good future ahead of her, BUT I must admit that the prais e she recieved this week was unwarrented, it was a bland performance of a song that, I would imagine, will never be able to be sung by anyone other than Celine Celine the singing machine with any credibility.

Alex and Ali were the twoo best performances of the night, and unfortunatly for James Peter was saved (unsuprisingly), Im certian that if it was down to just public vote, we would have lost Peter. Terrible rendition of a cliassic song.

it was a poor performance - but i agree with their comments about his stage presence and charisma.
He's got more "star quality", than the rest of them combined.
...and that's why he's "talked-up", because the judges know, that the odds of Peter having a career in the industry are good, and thet want to be seen as integral to his success.
I personally think he's a Libertines/Albarn/Casablancas/Cocker rip-off....but amusing never the less. ;)

......have to say, i'm quite impressed with Alistair's songwriting.
...He's certainly talented, in this field - more so than the frontman, delivering the song.
.....i think that's where his future lies (and probably a successful one) ()^

yes would agree too he reminds me of my nephew who can churn out songs at the drop of a hat (though his style is more like peters) hence hes in a band - but alistair will have a future more in production I think and writing were also I think my nephew will end but hes having fun in LA for the time being

Alistair does have a very good talent for writing, I think the production side would be perfect for him.
Even so, I resent the teachers and stylists on the show for blatenly not trying with him. They have had their favorites and they spend all their energy on them, leaving Alistair to his own devices the majority of the time. Still he has come out as the top of the songwriting side of it all. He will have a good future either way it goes for him, as he has that as a very large crutch to fall onto.

Funny how he narrowly missed out on the chance to perform on TOTP's he got 38% of the vote to Alex's 41%, though her song is actually quite good. I think TOTP's are desperately trying to distance themselves from ballards and MOR stuff to grab that all important, more to spend, teenie audience.

I smell 'fixing' in Fame Academy this year in a BIG way
