I want Caroline to win. I think Alex is over-rated and I don't like her as a person. Alistair is a good songwriter, but he's too normal - nothing special!

well to tell the truth dont you think the final is weak? looked at the pop idol heat tonight and most of the girls (cept for rachel) sang better than carolyn - cant make mind up about alex and all the boys were better at performing than alistair

I think from what we have seen of this year that if Sinead had been in it she would have been right up there, the pop style is losing luster every year the more edgy (yet still pop I am aware) acts are more refreshing.

I'm going to a Malachi convention in November.... in my defence.... it's really only so I can get away for a weekend somewhere.. hotels, flight.... but I'm meeting Nicki there!

I wanted to see what all the fuss was about so I had a go at watching two shows. I thought it is good that the kids are learning about production and writing music etc. I would love a young kid to be found who is talented and be around for the next 10 years, but I don't know if any of these have that X factor. These kids are expecting to be the next big thing I just hope the winner won’t be too disappointed.

If I was in charge of the programme I would have had the series on a bit longer and have them voted out every two weeks. One week should be learning how to perform, but another week or for a few days should be spent on actually performing in places in front of live audiences whom have never heard of fame academy, there is loads of groups/singers who have to perform up and down the country in bars, men’s clubs, uni bars you name to get noticed and experience, this would have been good for the students to gain experience of what it was like to perform in front of different types of audiences that wasn't studio made with family and friends. If the kids got booed off the stage in one of these places so what it would have toughened them up and given them experience of different audience. There have been great bands whom been have booed, cheered experienced all types of stuff. They could have sent the students to one of the European countries if they were worried about any of them being recognised.

I saw an interview with Richard Parks, he made quite a bit of sense.

About the arguments with Patric his responce was, I have 15 seconds to give a honest critique when patric cuts in after 5 seconds it means that I either dont have the oppertunity to put my full points accross (which often include how theings were done right) or we over run on the teachers comments which means we are cutting into the pupils time.
About his comments he said, I dont belive that I should give someone false hope if they dont deserve it, the record industry is a very fickle place and being told your good when actually you wouldnt cut it in the actual buisness is harmfull to these kids. I still get calls from students from the first year asking why it is that they arent getting anywhere, and that is because other teachers tried to save their feelings buut in fact gave them false hope.
About being boo'd he said, you have to understand that the audience is family and friends of the pupils mainly, I would be very suprised if I gave my opinion and the family and friends did do what they are there for and that is to offer support to the pupil.

He came accross as a very pleasant man, and like him or no, he can spot talent. Look at Craig David.
