oh a question about "supporting the band" .... who do u think gets most of the money from an album? the artist or the record company ?

NO Im spending (£15 quid you say - thats not much when you think I can spend upwards of £70 on a night on the beer!!) MY MONEY on a CD by a band IVE followed for over half my life in order to complete my collection of EVERYTHING THEYVE RELEASED!!! I've got every CD TAPE AND RECORD theyve bought out in this country and a couple of american ones too....

THATS WHY! I couldnt give two s***s who the money goes to...as long as I keep my record collection complete! AND if that makes me shallow or sad or fanatical I really couldnt care less!!!

BTW HD much agreed on that - since REM never used to print their lyrics on their stuff it was funny trying to decifer it!!! Talk about the passion IS french!

I tried to get tickets to see the band in Manchester not long ago. But they all sold out. I'll keep my eyes open for when it comes out as I haven't got all the cd's.

As for the copying issue of CD's. If you are on low income or have very little money I can understand why some people would download music, some CD's can be pretty expensive to many people. This is something which has been debatable for years. When I download anything on the net it tends to be a TV programme that I have missed. I love West Wing and I missed a few of the shows when I doing my exams so I downloaded a few episodes to catch up with series and then delated them.

I really dislike you now Obo! ;) I wish I had have gone to seen them. Everytime I go to get a ticket they always sell out!
