It has to be freeeezing before I put my heating on.
My partner and daughter used to do my head in wanting the house at 70% degrees all the time.

That was then!. Now, I have diabetes: We have wooden floors, my feet do be like slabs of ice. I go from all the heaters on, socks on, dresseing gown on, then i get too hot and start turning fans on, opening windows taking showers...... I dont know what to do for the best.

I feel the cold and even have to wear jumpers on the hottest days :-?

But I'm like you Madeline, I'm either freezing cold or baking, there never seems to be a happy medium.

I put it down to my health troubles , because I can remember going out in mini skirt and vest top in the snow when I was about 17

Maybe I'm just getting old :-(

I gave up and put the heating back on last week, or the week before. I have lit my fire most nights this week tho.

When I went out at 6am it was dark, cold and I was freezing. I don't mind cold weather but I hate going out early in the morning always seems so miserable and dark.

I think the TV programmers are trying to tell us something, everytime I come home in the afternoon they have some type of show telling us we should buy houses in the sun.

I don't like coming home when its dark and cold as well, I do like autumn, I couldn't live somewhere were you only had one season, I also like the winter, I hope it snows this year because my cat is really funny in the snow.

Yeah cats are great with snow arent they?

We had a cat when I was a kid - she walked across the garden in REALLY deep snow leaving her footprints fell into a big hole and came back in the prints she's made on the way there - my dad took my mum to the window and said she'd disappeared and not come back - my mum went running outside in her nightie and found the hole empty - the cat was inside curled up in front the fire!

Our cat just loves diving, we used to have a dog and when the ground was thick with snow he would just run mad round the garden and end up jumping in the stuff.

That reminds me of my dog Michelle, he used to love the snow, like yours he'd run around like a maniac, and he used to like me to throw handfuls of snow up in the air so that he could catch it ::lol::

We have a cat now, and she refuses to even think about going outside now that it's got a bit cold ::lol::

I used to have an Irish Setter, and when she went out in the snow, after a while she would have 4 snow blocks on her legs until she was stuck ::lol::
