I disagree, her 'unconventional' looks make her memorable for a start (though in a perfect world how she looks shouldn't make an iota of difference) and from those short clips she seems to ooze confidence and she's funny and quick

I just love her voice. Michelle sings absolutely beautifully. She can bash out those big numbers and then quietly deal with ballads.

And if she was going for presenter idol or tv personality idol, Id whole heartedly agree with you.

But with the name of the game being the music industry, where you will be listening to her albums NOT having her sit having a frinedly chat in front of you, the music has to come into play somewhere along the lines...and all Im saying is that, yes I agree, nice girl, but NOTHING special about her vocal talant.

I think she's great myself. She deserved to go through. Every week in fact.
I thought that both Sam and Mark sang out of tune on Saturday....Sam on the Bon Jovi track and Mark on the Take That, which I know must have been down to nerves.
Still it was a shocker that Sam went, what with him being the favourite and all.

I like her too, just for the record, and it's nothing to do with her being Scottish either

Im hoping Michelle will win.

Even if she does not she is still going to have a singing future...She has a good voice...

she will certianly get work, as will sam and chris and mark.

I would like Michelle to win too, but IMO no-one has really stood out this time. The week when they had the American winner guesting with a song, I agreed with the judges (!) that they had a lot to live up to. She was really fantastic.

I think that Pop Idol 2 has been far, far more exciting and entertaining than Pop Idol 1 because it has been so unpredictable.

Pop Idol 1 was such a bore as we all knew, all along, that the choice was between Will & Gareth.

I'm of the opinion that it's fixed.
Videoed itv1 and then itv2 (Kate Thornton's round-up show), and
watched both, the next day.
Firstly, the 3 contestants, are , at best, average singers.
Michelle struggled, quite clearly, to hold a note, and was often flat.
The 2 boys, were no better, though Sam's rendition of
"Maggie May", was the best performance on the show.

Interesting comments, from the judges, on the Kate Thornton show.
I find this, alot more revealing, and sometimes people are
caught off-guard, with their comments and reactions.
When Cowell ,was asked, who he thought was going to get thrown off, he had a twinkle in his eye, and said, he thought there could be
a big shock. ....and he knew - he definetely knew.
Cowell and his record company, are nobody's fools.
They are aware that there is a shift in the public's opinions and taste's , away from "pretty-boy processed pop"...another Gareth Gates clone,
is not going to sell records.
Cowell knows that - that's why he's backed Michelle, from day 0ne -
he smells pound notes.

I was quite glad sam went - his performances over the last few weeks have been a bit shallow for my liking AND he will do well regardless another Darius scenario there!!! I also think he thought he had it in the bag a bit as he has been the favourite for a long long time.

Mark has gotten consistantly better over the weeks but I dont think he did well this week, as someone else said the nerves are getting to him. Michelle has also improved a hell of a lot and can really bang them out - did you see her do the wembley performance? She has a HUGE voice but its also good...and being big never hurt Alison Moyet!

Im not fussed who wins but Mark seems to want it more!

Incidentally I wanted either Sam or Kim to win from the start, funny how fickle I can be but I've been taking notice of who has improved this year!

I wish I could say "yes" ade unfortunately I just aint sure, I see that the judges slate someone and they stay, the judges rave about someone and they go! At the end of the day Simon Cowell will sign who he wants out of the final 50 anyway!

Seriously it doesnt matter anyway cos all the one's that are popular

Sam, Michelle, Mark, Kim, Roxanne, Suzanne etc

will get some sort of career within the entertainment industry within the next six months....as have the losers (or ones that didnt win) in ALL of the "pop idol/star" programs so it doesnt really matter, whether they have any longevity will remain to be seen!!!

she wasn't much cop on saturday.
Her performances were weak.
The range was flat and she couldn't hit the high notes.
....she's cruise ship material, i'm afraid.
To compare her to Alison Moyet,as some people are doing,
is ludicrous and an insult.
Alison Moyet has twice the tqlent, this girl has.

I think comparing her to Alison Moyet is what a lot of people are doing to show that though she is a good little singer she doesnt have that *wow* factor in her voice as does Alison.
