A contestant on Shattered has quit after deciding she could no longer carry on.
Student Lucy, 21, walked out after more than 70 hours awake following consultations with the Channel 4 show's psychologists.
She is the third of the 10 initial contestants to depart from the week-long series - Salma and Ellen have both been eliminated after failing tests.
A spokeswoman for the show said: "Basically, Lucy has been finding it quite difficult and she has been in to talk to the psychologists a few times.
"She felt that she was not going to make it to the end and win the money so there was not much point in staying on.
"Lucy did have a great time and loved all the people that were taking part and she wanted to leave with fond memories."
Lucy was looking drowsy this morning with her eyelids drooping and the other contestants rallied round to help keep her awake.
But as she joined her pals in the garden, she was again overwhelmed with tiredness and began to flag.
Yesterday several of the contestants reported seeing hallucinations and flashes of light as they battled to stay awake.
They are aiming to stay awake for a week, although show safety experts are allowing occasional strategic dozing breaks to help them through.
If anyone nods off during the allotted times, they lose £1,000 from the £100,000 prize fund. It currently stands at £99,000.
