Emmerdale farm is the worst soap barr none! My other half watches it and watched the "emmerGALE" thing the other week - the acting was diabolical - the girl that got trapped under a pile of rubble only had blackberrys squashed on her chin I'm pretty sure if they'd wiped that off she'd have been okay!!!

The effects were awful especially when the helicopter came into it! They staged that to boost ratings but I should imagine they lost a few viewers...the cast are the least attractive people I've ever seen on tv - maybe it's meant to represent the in-breeding you get in that part of the country?

I am going to cause trouble now. But seriously when Corrie was made it was during a time when people knew everyone in the neighbourhood. How many people today realistically knows everyone in their street.

I am not a soap fan but I think, although I know they are very popular they should change the face of todays soap.

I don't live in London but they only ever show the stero type of what people think the East End of London is like. But hasn't the East End had a make over in recent years. Every time I go to see my brother I see lots of people in suits, ie the young professionals.

Instead of having a soap concerntrate in a street why not have the stories told about an industry such as the music area. People know more about each other in work and become best mates than they do in the neighbourhoods.

Okay then WHY is Natalie so upset and self rightous over Barry?

If she hadnt left him and run off with Ricky and stopped him seeing his kid he'd never have got with Janine and she'd never have had the chance to kill him!

And why wasnt Alfieee at the fish and chip supper? He wasnt even mentioned I know my other half would feel a bit peed off if I spent every other night eating greasy crap at my parents house and he wasnt invited...(mind you my mums cooking isnt really that bad!)

My personal opinion is that, all the soaps have lost the plot, in a feeble attempt to promote veiwing figures.

The barry story line was stupid and unnecessary and leaves the veiwers confused.

The ongoing corrie story line with Todd is just stupid.

As for Emmie, "get a grip" you stupid berks.

I live in an area of Liverpool called the Dingle (yes phil redmond got the name for the dingles on emmerdale after seeing a bus heading here ) and can honestly say michelle that people round here know everyone and their family trees!!!!!!!!

the other day a new pupil arrived at the school from the area and one of the mums in the waiting room was looking at her and says is your dad alan so and so and the kid says yes and your gran is and so on so yes some communities are still like that this one is for sure
