After not reading a book for ages I decided that a bit of escapism was what i needed so i picked up one that i had started 6months ago but not got past page 40.

I got to page 100 and found out that it was really good....nearly finished it now so if anyone has the name of any good ones they have read lately i would be grateful.

Might even join the library again!

lol i never used to read books but since my gran died for some reason i do ive read like 10 books since and there really thick ones. None u would like though there on the WWE and the beckhams hehe and some kiddy animal arks books they were good still not for u i dont think. Ive got another one from amzon on the way to it was ment to be here on wednesday and it never came it stil not here so i am really mad at amazoni was really looking forward to that book and now that dads got the money ive payed for somink im yet to get

How about a *Reality Book* club???

We could choose a book, and discuss it once a week?

I will read anything that is written well....fiction mostly though.

im not a lover of fiction im more of i autobiography person i prefer real life to made up stuff

Richard and Judy are doing a book club thing with 10 books....apparently libraries have gotten in extra copies so maybe we could all try reading those and see if we think the same as them.

I love reading! Whenever I buy anything from Amazon (ie DVD) I always type Penguin Classics or Wordsworth Classics in to the search engine as you can get lots of books for about £1.50 and it is cheap because I don't have to pay for any packaging because it comes with DVD I am buying.

I always buy Classical Books from Amazon because of the price, if I want to buy a modern book then I will visit woolworths. Where I live I am also very lucky to have a good book shop.

I am always recommending to people to read books. I also think it is one of the best presents one can buy someone.

From Amazon I have been able to buy 20 thousand leagues under sea which I had never read before, also dracula (I have not had chance to read that yet because my brother has borrowed it) phantom of the opera, there is a lot more I have bought. You can build up a good collection.

I've read 'The Lovely Bones'...one of the books on Richard & Judy's list - really enjoyed it even though it's a very sad story.
Just finished reading 'The Five People You Meet In Heaven' by Mitch Albom. Absolutely loved 'The Secret History' by Donna Tartt and 'Sophie's World' by Jostein Gaarder.

Books that made me laugh out loud: Terry Pratchett Discworld Series of books....'Round Ireland with a Fridge' by Tony Hawks, Douglas Adams 'Hitch Hikers Guide To the Galaxy', 'Long, Dark Tea-time of the Soul' also by Douglas Adams.

Two of my all time favourite books that I want to read again: 'Don Quixote' by Miguel De Cervantes, 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' by Robert M Pirsig.

When one thinks about it we are so lucky in this country to have many places where one can obtain a book, libraries, book shops even jumble sales and then think about 3rd world countries who don't even have libraries as they can't afford the books. There are many people around the world who would love to be able to read books.

There is a charity that specialises in sending peoples unwanted books to the 3rd world. I think that this is a very good idea. We are lucky in this country with amount of libraries available in this country. We can visit the library any time and not have to pay for a book except for a fine.
