We have had "***** as Folk," before "***** Eye for the Straight Guy," Ilene Chaiken envisioned a drama about lesbian friends and lovers.

Chaiken's "The L Word" is finally coming to television. But why, after all the attention to homosexual men, did it take so long for women to come out of the TV closet?
"That is a big question," she said. "All I can say is it always takes the girls longer to get there." ... ::lol:: ::lol::

More news about this show.
What is laughable is the quote at the bottom.

But critics claim the show is unrealistic, because all the girls are stunners.

Suggesting that all Lesbians look like Bob The Builder, is like saying all homosexual men look like Lilly Savage.

it is unrealistic....
not all lesbians are stunners,
not all straight women are stunners.
not all lesbians are woofers, and not
all straight women are woofers.

Your sexuality doesn't determine whether you're a "stunner" or not. :-?
...and anyway, isn't beauty in the eye of the beholder?? ;)
