Jenni, hasn't exactly been ,the pure-as-the-driven-snow angel,
you would like to lead us to believe.
...fine - she's got stuck-into the trials and has done well and suprised afew people, with her guts and determination...good for her.
Unfortunately, she seems to have a rather large, chip on her shoulder, when it comes to the class-system and wealth.
...her insistence, on bringing it up, as a way of terminating a debate , does her an injustice and quite frankly,
makes her look stupid - which i'm sure, she most certainly isn't.

Jennie only mentioned Brocket coming from a 'moneyed background' once as I recall - he was the one who kept going on about it. Jennie did apologize for the remark...and as she said - re the conversation they were having at the time, if it was relevant, she wouldn't be offended if he called her 'working class'.
Jennie must have been aware Brocket was talking about her behind her back - by the way he tried to ostracize her from the group, Peter (taking his cue from Brocket) and his 'dinner lady' remark - which she rose above in her dignified, understated manner - and in the process made Peter look petty.
Jennie wasn't getting any air time untill Brocket tried to denigrate and marginalize her - a horrible thing to do to someone at the best of times...fatal, when that someone is an intelligent, classy woman like Jennie Bond - who showed Brocket up for the arrogant spiv he is. IMO.
