Is it just me,or has this series of celeb been absoloutely fantastic?
BB could learn i lot from Celeb. The trials are far superior to the tasks in BB and because the celebs are well known to us we feel more of an affection for them. And Ant and Dec are far better presenters than Davina..

I am not sure which side of the fence i fall on,but Celeb seems to be pulling ahead in the popularity stakes..

Hard to say, for all the similarites there are some big differences too. One thing I do like though is the voting system on Celeb compared to BB. Imagine if we were able to get rid of the dullest people out of BB first rather than them hanging round for ages cos they were 'nice' by voting for favourites. I mean, how long would Gos have stayed for in the last series of BB on that basis? Would have had someone who did something other than sleep, cook and not offer opinions to watch then!
Obviously this can't happen though since it would get rid of the nominations procedure, which is one of the more interesting aspects of BB when you get into it...but no reason why for at least one week they couldn't subvert the system and let people vote out whoever they wanted from everyone.
Though it'd be unlike the self important producers of BB to give the viewers what they want.

I love IACGMOOH. This one has been great because of the mixture of personalitys. The task tonight was the best one by far in my opinion.
The unmasking of certain people, The lord and his minions John, Peter, Alex and Jordan as the needy arrogant untalented group of desparados I ever want to see on TV again.

I think BB has to learn a lot of lessons if it wants to continue.
Tasks: should be more then one task a day. for a better reward.
A housemate should be allowed to do an individual task once a day for a treat.
The housmates must learn a skill........for a reward outside the BB house.
There is lots of things they could do, not only will it keep the housemates from sleeping half the day away. It will make for better viewing.

What unmasking ${ Please explain ?

Or is what you really mean, just because you don't like them, they suddenly develope those traits.

Apart from Alex Best, I don't mind seeing any of those lot on TV again ( yes even Jordon ) and hope I do especially Charlie ()^

How are they desperado's, they all went in their supporting certain charities and if some of them want to up their careers whilst they are at it, then good luck to them I say.

Apart from Neil, I can't really say that I have disliked any of this years contestants, most have been fairly entertaining and isn't that what we want ?

Maybe BB5 should only be on for 2 weeks then! Start voting them off after 3 or 4 days? Oh and they all have to be semi famous.

They are 2 totally different programmes...you can't really compare them.

BB could do with upping the prize money though....then we'd soon see some more hard playing which will make it more entertaining.
Even better would be if at the end of it they said to the winner ''oh we forgot to tell you it's all going to charity'' :D

methinks, the original "reality" show Big Brother,
has had it's day.
The viewing public, have moved on, and have upped the ante.
The appetite for celebrities in difficult situations and environments,
has proved essential television and makes 12 nobodies,
sitting around a sterile house, about as appetising to the viewer
as a witchety grub. :-?
..we've moved on.
....it's become a victim of it's own success.
....ask a friend, if they're looking forward to the next BB.
and then ask them, if they're looing forward to the next series ,
of "the games" or "i'm a celeb".

...you're get 2 marked and different reactions.
....the BB producers, after the abysmal mistakes of BB4, have a big, big, problem, convincing Joe Public, to watch in numbers.
....they've got onre last chance to get it right...but even if they do manage to pull off good contestants with interesting and challenging tasks and games, will the public care? :-?
....i doubt it....
we want more celebs being pecked by ostrich's or belly-flopping off
high-dive boards. ()^
....the king is dead
.....long live the king.

As Heidi said they are two different animals.
With IAC it's the fact that they are celebrities (so called) making arses of themselves
With BB it the getting to know the people and seeing how the interact with each ...like meeting new friends and decided whether we like them or not.

...they are, to a certain extent -
but the fact remains,
BB has past it's peak, and has been devoured by the public's appetite for
reality shows ,starring celebs. ()^

Hence, reports in todays tabloids, that another series ,
of "i'm a celeb" ,is planned for November. ()^

...who's going to be bothered, or have the patience and time for BB5,
(especially if the mix and production, is as bad as last time),
when, the public will be engrossed with The Olympics
and the Football Euro Championships? ()^

...it's a White Star Liner, on it's maiden voyage, being steered
into an ice-flow. :-?

I think it all depends on the mix of charecters they choose...for example..I can't even remember half the people who were in last years IAC..I got bored watching and switched off....and yet I'm engrossed in it this year..

Its the same with BB..... I got bored with BB4..where as the year before..I couldnt stand to miss a moment..

Most of the people in BB4 were nice people, some a lot nicer that the BB3 lot..but because they all were so similar... not their fault..it wasnt terribley interesting to watch..

So much depends on the casting..and this year could be the saviour or death of BB

....you'll have square eyes C.C!! ::lol:: ;)
i used to love it, honey, but
i've lost all confidence,in the makers of the show,
and it's ability to appeal to a large audience. :-?

....i don't get any pleasure from saying it, but events and other
formats, have taken-over, and BB has lost it's way.
BB4 did it irriparable damage, i.m.o ()^
