Initally, I was happy when I heard John was going into the show - thought he would be the most unaffected out of that group of 'celebs'.
However, after a couple of days (some funny moments with his ostrich trial) listening to him moaning on about silly things ..like....his tea ..and his bush telegraph rant about Jordan, kicking the camera, his 'I don't have any fear, you can't hurt me,' his walking out. I just thought he was being as fake as some of the other celebs, doing it all for effect. basically. IMO
As Mike Read said on 'celebs coming out show last night'...."Maybe if I'd swore, touched the girls up, talked about my composing or my new book, I would have got more screen time - but, I wouldn't prostitute myself like that " . He did seem a tad bitter about the whole experience, but there was some truth in what he said. IMO.
Still, never mind, for all that ...the show was enjoyable and a ratings success despite John's early exit. Hopefully, John may very well redeem himself (in my eyes, anyway) when we hear what he has to say about his experience on tonights show.
I doubt the
punk will reedem himself Geena. I Didn't like the untalented, aggresive, egotistical bully when he fronted the Sex Pistols. And his 25 years off our TV screens doesn't seeem to have mellowed his combative attitude!
The ratings were not damaged by his hissy-fit early exit either.. The final got nearly 16 million viewers.
