In future, if a moderator thinks that a post should be removed, rather than deleting it completely, the post will firstly be edited out with a reason given why and then it will be shown to myself and the other moderators. If we then feel that the post should not have been removed, we shall put it back again, so it will be a joint decision that we all have made, not just one individual moderator.

So, if your post is removed and you are not happy with the decision, then please send me a PM about it. It is not easy being a moderator and they give up their spare time voluntarily to help me and I couldn't run the site without them. We do try our hardest to be fair, but I am willing to see both sides point of view if necessary. Thank you.

I really can not see what is said to be going on lately....

Posts may be deleted for any number of reasons e.g. things which are against the terms and conditions, such as racism, haemophobic comments, blatant advertising of people's own sites, anything generally objectional and very bad swear words. The terms and conditions actually state "You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws."

However, I think the main reason for posts being deleted recently, has been due to personal attacks on other members, which I would prefer to be kept off the boards and dealt with by PM, either to the member concerned or by PM'ing me.

Personal attacks - thats not good...

If someone differs in their opinion to you on any subject, its good to banter.

I do not see why the Person should "be personally attacked " because of their views...

oh well heres hoping it all gets sorted, fingers crossed but it seems to be getting worse than better...Never noticed it till the last week or so...

I agree that it is good to debate and to listen to other people's views and put forward our own views, so long as it doesn't get too nasty or too personal, that's all. That's not too much to ask, is it?

I believe that is a good idea because recently I've seen a few people directing horrid comments at certain individuals and it wasn't nice

I've missed all this again cos i havent been here. I agree totally that personal attacks must not be made. I havent been here because i have loads of nonsense going on at the moment in my personal life, but I thought it was getting better on here!!!!

Oh well, i'm back now and I know i have offended in the past Christine, but that was 2 years ago and i will start singing Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny if anybody starts on a member, its not fair and we have to remember that we come on here to debate things and talk them through fairly.
