Cameron has very kindly agreed to answer some of our questions about Big Brother 4 and related topics.

So far Cameron has been asked questions all over the site and it has all become rather confusing to follow.

So here is one, easy to access thread for all those questions we have all been waiting anxiously to ask.

Thankyou Cameron.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are a few from me ....

1 - Have you managed to meet any of the earlier BB winners... Craig, Brian or Kate? What do you think of them? How do you feel about following in their footsteps?

2 - How did you find performing in the panto? Did you enjoy it? Had you ever done anything like this before? Would you do it again?

3 - BB has announced that it is to recruit the HMs for BB5 by auditions. Would you have applied for BB4 had this been the selection process in place last year? What do you think of the change?

4 - Did you manage to watch any of BB4 USA last year on E4. What do you think of that format?

5 - Are you still in touch with most of your BB4 HMs? Gaetano? Anyone else from BB Africa?

6 - What have you learned about yourself and/or your BB4 HMs from the press? Any huge surprises?

7 - BB4 has often been described as being rather dull when compared with the earlier BBs. Why do you think this is so? Bad editorial decisions? Wrong mix of housemates?

8 - Who did you think would win at the end of your first week in the House? And at the start of the final week?

9 - There are always rumours to the effect that Endemol have a full 'spare' set of housemates ready to step into gear if the first set of HMs is identified in the press. Do you know anything about this?

10- Have you heard of any rumours relating to BB5 that you could share with us?

11 - When will we next get to see you on the telly?

12 - I appreciate you cannot speak for any of the other BB4 HMs, but do you think any of them have serious regrets about entering the BB4 House? I am asking this in the light of comments made recently in the press by Dean of BB2. (See our BB2 forum for further details.)

13 - Do you believe in all of the teachings of Leviticus? Some appear to be quite ridiculous, how do you decide what to accept and what not to accept?

14 - Do you think that sex was inevitable given that there was just one bedroom in the Teen BB House?

15 - What do you think of the fact that couples have been invited to apply for BB5?

16 - Are you watching 'Back To Reality'. If invited would you have agreed to take part in this show?

I have a lot more questions ;) , but that's enough for the moment. Please answer whatever you fancy.

Wow Eddy - you've been busy! Great selection of Q's though. As you can see, it's 10 to 2 so I'll see how far I get!

1. I've met Kate briefly a couple of times, really fleetingly and didn't have any chance to speak about anything at all, other than saying a quick "hello". Maybe she was keen to get away after some of the things she said on RI:SE! lol Wouldn't mind meeting her properly.

I'm desperate to meet Brian as I think he's hilarious - I've wanted to meet him ever since he was on BB, for lots of reasons - can you imagine how funny he is? He's one of the most amusing people I've ever seen and I would love to meet and get to know him. Similarly, from what I've seen, Craig is a generous and genuine guy who I think it would be interesting to chat about BB experiences with. I imagine he's very down to Earth and (dare I say it) "normal" - whatever that is!

2. I was quite apprehensive about the Panto - I've done some of that type of thing locally and latterly found I hated performing and being on stage. Could be because I had to wear a gold frock and tinsel sandals to perform Big Spender... Having said that, doing the Aberdeen panto was absolutely brilliant! The acrobats, dancers and cast were excellent to work with and so were the stage crew. I enjoyed the whole thing and (to my own surprise) would love the chance to do it again. The theatre management and Aberdonians in general were very generous and extremely welcoming and I would say that added enormously to the pleasure of the whole experience.

3. I think that in some way the open auditions will make it a quicker selection process than last year - we still had to audition, but only after our forms and videos had been studied by goodness knows who! The interviews and auditions and indeed filling in the forms was as much part of the experience as being in the house - it was all very enjoyable and I said at every stage that if I got no further I would be content, because it genuinely all had been so much fun. I wonder if I would have auditioned this year - hmmm, good question. Well, for a start, to apply last year only cost me the price of a stamp and a blank video tape I suppose - it was for the first interview that I forked out a £350 plane fare! I maybe wouldn't have done it this year if I'd had to spend so much to get to the open auditions. Don't even get me started on Orkney air fares!

I think the change will enable the people selecting to get through a lot more people in a shorter period of time - however, I do think that the open auditions will encourage people to act the goat in order to be noticed, and that's all very well for the auditions but how well will they do for a long period of scrutiny? I think the producers were successful last year in that they set out to have a more harmonious, relationship-based bunch of HM's, and that's what they got. It may not have been what some viewers considered the best combination.

4. I didn't see any of the US BB. Saw one or two adverts for it on Ch4, but at the time I didn't have SkyTV, nor in fact the time to watch it!

5. Yes, we're almost all still in touch fairly regularly - obviously to a greater or lesser degree depending on time pressure etc. Around Christmas and the New Year we more or less all sent greetings around and I've spoken to some since New Year but not all. I was over in Dublin for Ray's birthday a couple of weekends ago - it was great meeting Ray's Dublin mates. The BB4 lads are getting together in and around Glasgow at the end of the month, probably for go-karting and paintball and stuff like that.

Not spoken to Gaetano for a wee while - mainly been e-mailing some of the BBA housemates. Cherise phoned on Valentine's Day which was lovely, and one of the BBAfrica crew texted me tonight. One of the best things about the whole experience is having gained these friends.

6. The main thing I've learned from the press is to believe about 5% of what you read. Even some of the interviews that I've given properly, not just those based on hearsay or what's written elsewhere, have been reported inaccurately. Something that has surprised me is the reporting that Scott was boring - I think I've even said on this forum that he's one of the funniest people I know. I've always found it interesting how the press seems to need to label people, even for everyday events - Mrs Smith, 55, cleaning lady and grandmother of 6 children, blind in one eye and prone to selective hearing was today found to be.... Is it necessary? lol

7. We were disappointed to hear and read that BB4 had in some quarters been considered dull. From an insider's point of view I'd tend to disagree - we had a new housemate, the return of an old housemate, a foreign housemate entering and one of us leaving, we had the reward rooms and other treats. Granted, harmony is perhaps not as interesting as scandal and I suppose reading books rather than discussing what we'd read didn't make the most exciting viewing but there are legal considerations to this too. Much of what was discussed was unable to be aired due to legal reasons - I find this one of the most frustrating things about these programmes. In BBAfrica I believe there is a team of people who look after copyright and libel and all that, thereby enabling the producers to broadcast much more than we are allowed to here. That's a huge shame.

8. At the start I though Gos had a great chance of winning, or at least he was someone who I liked a lot and expected the public to share my opinion! When it came to the final week, it was such a bizarre situation that I didn't really know what to think. Please believe me when I say I was totally surprised to be asked to attend auditions/interviews, let alone be one of the final 12 chosen housemates, not to mention staying in the 9 weeks and finally winning. (Don't know if you watched the Winner's Story - I think I commented on this subject on that prog.)

I was very surprised when Scott was second to leave on the final night - it was clear then that the final person to leave the house would be Ray or me (stating the obvious I know). I suppose in the latter stages I imagined the final to be between Scott and Ray so it was an enormous surprise when Scott left. It's true to say that both Ray and I thought that the other one of us would win - Ray was an extremely gracious second place winner and I'd like to think I would have been as happy for him as he was for me. Our ongoing friendship confirms that he really has no hard feeling about it and it certainly has never been a point of conflict between us at all - in all the tv stuff I've seen and press I've read, Ray has never once been unkind in what he's said about me.

SORRY EDDY - ONLY HALFWAY THROUGH AND IT'S 2.45AM SO I'M GOING TO STOP HERE. I'LL TRY THE REMAINDER TOMORROW!

Wow, I'm amazed you managed to answer those questions at all at that time in the morning, I was well away with it by then.

I have a question, nothing in relation to BB though. Just wondered if you get home very often now and do you miss it loads when your away? I had to leave where I lived for nearly 22 years of my life nearly two years ago for job purposed and would still love to go back at some point, mostly miss all my friends and family though I have some where I am as well it's not the same. You must get fed up with all us asking loads of things!! I'll limit it to one plus I can't think of anything else and will end up talking a load of rubbish!!!

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for answering those questions,Cameron. It's great that you are making the effort like this!!Don't get me started on Orkney airfares either...they are one of the great mysteries of the world.Looking them up online have been quoted from£182 to £525 LHR-KOI return for the same flights and the same carriers!!!Am sure you've discovered that if you book them online get it so much cheaper by keying in the 2 steps separately...e.g.Instead of keying in LHR to KOI as one journey, key inLHR to EDI or ABDN,then key in the onward journey to Kirkwall.I've found this can half the price...but don't ask me why!!!!
Hehe!Am full of useless information!

Morning Eddy and all of you.

Well, not had breakfast yet, but here goes for another stint!

9. I can't comment on whether Endemol keeps a full set of spares in case hm's are somehow identified - guessing it would be unusual for all 12 to be rumbled because after BB1/2 enormous precautions are taken but you never know. I think last year there were two occasions where hm's were almost found out. Now I don't know if these are completely true, but I HEARD (not from anybody at Ch4 or Endemol note) that Anouska's brother was offered £40k to "dob her in" although quite how that could come about I don't know, and I also heard that Federico's brother stalled some press slimes at his front door while Federico sneaked out the back and was whisked away.

10. Not really heard anything official or startling about BB5 so far but can't wait to see the set up.

11. I'm going to be on Offside in March and I'm doing something with BBC Manchester soon I think but not sure when that'll be aired. There's a fair bit going on with telly at the mo, but moreso at the proposal stage rather than commissions - I'm sure you know that it's a huge step from proposal to commission, so I'm not holding my breath just yet!

12. Sorry not checked out the BB2/Dean thread yet, but will try to today. I would hate to think that any of us had regrets about our participation in BB4 - is that naive? A couple of the girls may regret certain incidents but I don't know any for a fact. I think it may be the case that there are regrets stemming from press reporting and not from the experience itself. If that's the case it's a downright disgrace and despite the fact that we should know to disregard almost all of what we read, certain things are bound to stick.

13. That is an often-asked question and probably the one that has given me most cause for thought since coming out of the house. I want to say that I am not homophobic and I'm disappointed if my comments or opinions were misconstrued. Jesus' message was one of unconditional love and Christians try to adhere to that ideal but humans aren't perfect - if we were, we would be in heaven already. Becoming a Christian doesn't mean you're automatically given all the answers - what it means in a lot of cases is that there is an urgency to search. I don't want this particular discussion to become a public bugbear or for people to quote what's been said out of context - feel free to ask more about it if you feel like it and I'll endeavour to answer.

14. No, I don't think that sex was inevitable just because there was only one bedroom in the teen house. And may I say, I never condemned Tommy and Jade - I've always thought it was quite a fuss over nothing really - do people think that teenagers don't have sex??? I've fallen out with some of the people I'm closest to about this subject; just because I don't believe in sex before marriage doesn't make me ignorant to the fact that it happens. I suppose as far as Ch4 was concerned it was pretty sensational and if it's shocked some people into realising that's what goes on well so much the better. I don't believe they did it just because they were in the BB house or on tv or whatever - as an insider I can honestly say that being in the house is like being on holiday, your awareness of the cameras is minimal thankfully and therefore it's a pretty straightforward representation of what goes on. In BB4 it's true to say that certain people did abuse the cameras but on these occasions it should have been obvious. I truly don't think that T & J did it for the cameras.

15. Couples being on BB5 should add a dimension that we've not seen before. It may put unbearable stress on a couple or it may cement their relationship - one thing's for sure, nominations will be interesting! Wouldn't it be unusual if it was all couples - imagine getting on with someone very well, but hating their spouse and nominations had to be per couple - I'm getting excited about BB5 now that we're talking about it again!

16. Only seen one little snippet, where Kerry McF was telling her current housemates about eating the grubs etc. I would do another programme like this. BB is great because you don't know the other people before you go in, I think it would be a whole other kettle of fish going into a house where you know who the other people are but don't "know them know them". It's a great opportunity to break down incorrect perceptions about people. I would also say that with only one possible exception, all the "famous" people I've met have been great which is nice to know, as so much of what we read would try to turn us against them.

-------------------------

Like for our "question week" in BB, it's sometimes only when I start to discuss something that I think about it and chew it over, so thanks for these questions, and keep them coming!

Scotia - I've been home for a wee spell at the mo, but it's the first time since May last year. It's been strange doing proper shopping and hoovering and stuff like that, but it's great!

Glad am not the only person who does that! You'll get banned for spamming if you keep that up.Thanks for all those answers..some thought provoking stuff there.Personally I don't see why being a christian means condemning homosexuality.I know gay christians who have reconciled their faith with their sexuality and have been accepted by members of their (admittedly liberal) church. Being a christian to me means being tolerant of others views and opinions regardless of whether or not you agree with them.

I'm with you there, SL.

Why do people always mention Leveticus?
I thought the Laws were part of a covenant between God and specifically the Jews, and have never applied to Gentiles. Am I wrong?

The early Christians, being mostly Gentiles, renounced Jewish law to follow the ethical teachings of Jesus, principally 'love thy neighbour as thyself' - also a basic tenet of Judaism and Islam, of course.

And doesn't that pretty much cover everything, from treating everyone as your equal (regardless of sex, race, religion, colour - or sexual orientation ) to avoiding hatred, vindictiveness, anger, and so on? There's hardly a need for any other moral law, whether you are religious or not.
