CamBB4 is the real Cameron Stout.

To get a picture under your name (avatar), go to your profile at the top of the site and then at the bottom of your profile page, you have the option to upload an Avatar from your machine, upload an Avatar from a URL or select one from the gallery. If you have a picture you would like to use, but have problems uploading it, just let me know.

Hi Cam,

Hi to all on this forum as well, as you see I'm pretty new to all this so please bare with me on this!

1. How often do you go back to Orkney or are you based there and travel to where you need to be depending on what comes up?

2.Would you like to be a full time Christian worker?

3. I love your accent, does it become less of an accent the more time you spend away from Orkney?

4. I'm planning to visit Orkney this summer what would advise me to visit?

Thank you Cam

First of all - Alan from Derby, no I've never been to Spring Harvest - been to Stoneleigh though - it was amazing and inspired me to learn sign language!

Hi Chad and welcome to the forum. I'm in Orkney at the moment and I suppose you can still say I'm based here, although I'm not here very often. Yes, I do just travel, depending on what comes up - luckily I enjoy the travelling; quite used to it with work.

Never seen myself as a full-time Christian worker. You never know what's round the corner though, as I well know based on the past year's events!

I've been away from Orkney for long-ish periods of time before but I don't think the way I speak changes too much. Glad you like the accent!

Check out the OTB Orkney Tourist Board website - there's plenty on there, or you can phone them to request a brochure. It's quite nice too.

You could get the ferry from Aberdeen - makes the drive shorter but costs more of course.

I wouldn't know where to start in telling you what to visit - how long will you be here?

So how long are you up in Orkney for?

Do you know some of the people on this forum from the forum or did you know them before? :D It seems very addictive but exciting to be on here? ;)

I will be there for a week near the beginning of June, one of the main reasons for driving is my friend wants to stop off in Tongue on the way up. Last time I drove up to Scotland i went to Edinburgh and got stopped by the police which was very exciting but got let off which I guess I was very lucky!

I only know one other forum member personally (as far as I know!!!) and yes, it is pretty addictive! I'm hoping to be at home for about a fortnight, but you never know - a call may come at any time.

I guess it's nice just to be at home for a while and to chill out than rushing round the country, but also it is fun to travel and see new places

To tell you the truth, being at home is more hectic than being away for work, because there's so much to catch up with - mainly post etc. - which I'm not on top of yet. There are boxes of letters I've not had a proper chance to get replying to but I'm trying to work my way through it all...

So are you still working for your company and still doing some work for that as well?

I have looked into driving over to visit a friend and it isn't so expensive as flights. Think it's approx. £120 for car and a driver, further passengers £25 with Northlink Ferries. There we go! ()^
