My insider revealed: "I first heard Peter's Insania in 1999 and have still got a copy of it knocking around.

"The track was on a demo sent in with about four others and is almost identical to the one he sang in the jungle.

"At the time we were not interested, so it didn't go any further."

With Peter's re-released 1996 Mysterious Girl having topped the charts, they would be Insania not to want to sign him now.

Peter was in the jungle when the campaign was going on which Chris Moyles started but the single wasn't released until last week.

Yep, Peter knew nothing about it, at first, Chris was trying to re-release Bros, 'When will I be Famous?' and that was when he got onto the subject of Peter and Mysterious Girl and Andi Peters thought it was a good idea and rang up the show! Chris then asked all his listeners to buy the song.

I dont believe for a second that Jemilia (or however you spell it) has been nasty because of it, she seemed OK the other day when she was on the phone with Chris Moyles and he was telling her it was because of him. All she said was she wished she had released her song after Peter. And he's not number one now anyway, so if she was gonna have a go, she needs to target Brittney!!!!
