Absolutely - and its worked very well for me {@} {@} {@} {@}

In fact I'm so much fitter that just before Christmas I entered for a half-marathon (ahem power) walk in May in aid of Breast Cancer (The Moon Walk). Just got to get over my chest infection so I can get back to my training - was working up gradually but have just lost the last week and I was on a ten week schedule - aargh

Working for me too Sunny, watching what I eat, exercising twice a week, lost 3 lbs the past week! Don't have much to lose but it's what you feel happy with isn't it? Good luck with the half-marathon. I'm just glad that the lighter nights are coming so I can get back out on my bike.

Always fall off bikes myself ::lol:: ::lol::

But you are right. I have never been on a proper "diet" in my life but last year suddenly realised the weight was creeping on. I've lost a stone and a half and I feel good. Its been really gradual a couple of pounds at a time but it has stayed off. Had to have all my business suits altered - yay!!

But of course Cadbury's have gone bankrupt :eek: Marks and Spencers on the other hand are reporting record profits on their meringues ::lol:: ::lol::

Diets don't work! Weight has a habit of creeping on as we get a wee bit older (sorry don't know how old you are but I'm hitting the big 40 this year). Gradual is good, the only way to go. See I'm lucky I don't do chocolate but I DO do crisps, peanuts etc. I work my diet around those things so I can have them if I need them.

Totally agree.

They say we actually need that little bit of extra weight to protect us as we age but they don't specify how much do they? ::lol:: ::lol::

You will survive the big 40 after all life begins then doesn't it?

*thinks - we're not really off topic are we?*

Think we may be off topic now - expecting this to be moved to the topicism thread ::lol::

OK out of sync now

Not watching fit farm - I can watch people exercise in the gym don't need to watch them on tv.

All it is, is eating less and excerising more and you can really lose weight. I go to the gym 3 times a week, it's a real effort to go but once I've been I feel great, it releases endophines in your brian that make you feel good, the more weight you lose the more it makes you feel good :D But you have to lose weight because you want to and if you are committed then it will work! :D :D :D
