Goodness...from the above comments there appears to be a lot of female Christians on the look out. (Think you're right Spikylass, another thread would be interesting).
My pastor once said that his father gave him advice years ago....

Must admit, we did a survey in our home group on Spiritual Gifts and Celibacy came out as one of my highest scores, so I'm obviously quite enjoying it right now. Think my concern would be, okay jogging along with things quite happily, then will have marriage/ kids RIGHT NOW (meaning few years time)....& I know that is selfish of me. (and prob a bit unrealistic). But hey, celibacy is not that bad I guess, could think of plenty worse things could come my/ our way!!

Another Q: During the last year or so I would assume you have learned a great deal through your experience(s)....if you could pass on any words of wisdom what would it be? If it were the case that adolescents could learn from your experience, what bit of advice would you give them?

Chad go onto http://www.laterooms.com, put in UK and Aberdeen and date and you'll get a listing. Bound to find somewhere (plus maybe a bonus and get a discount). There are many places in Aberdeen to stay....depends on budget I guess.

I stayed in the travel inn (or lodge, I cant remember) when I was there. Cheap and cheerfull and right on Union Street so great location!

I have stayed in the Hilton in Aberdeen and it is pretty posh! I worked there when it was a Stakis. That's where I met Peter Andre.

That's where my friend was staying on Saturday night and I thought it was nice. It's the Travel Lodge on Bridge Street, can't get any more central if you ask. Not sure if there is parking though, do you know Fudgie?

I would tell them that you only get one shot at life so live it! Over the past year I've learned that living other people's lives for them does not work and only causes stress for you and for them. Case in point is my oldest son who left school with good grades, went to college and failed. I was gutted and nagged and nagged... then one day I realised... hey it's his life, let him live it the way he wants to (he had found a great social life). I can't make him happy, only he can do that, and with that realisation came the revelation that that applied to me too. Upshot is that I took voluntary severance from the job I'd had for nearly 11 years and now I'm looking of a job I WANT to do rather than one which will pay the bills.

Sorry you asked yet? My son has been working in Asda, LOVES it, has a great social life and is very happy..... however he's going to apply to college again to do a music course because that's what he wants to do, not what he thought was expected of him. I learned a very good lesson.

Will let you know when I'm up there Suzanne We had to park in one of the multistorey car parks. Got a little confused about the pricing and ended up having to pay about 30 squids! But would recommend it for a night out in the deen
