Hi
I went to the Pop Idol tour last night and it was great
The cheers for Sam were mad and he couldnt talk aww poor thing
They all did really well
Marc: He sang Let me Entertain you and he did well he got the crowd going
Brain: when your looking like that. He wasnt as good as Marc
Kim: Very well sung, she was good
Andy: Lots of screams and did very well, you could tell he had been in the industyr before
Roxanne: She looked really nice and sung very well
Suzanne: She looked pretty too and her 1st performance, Ironic was better than her 2nd one
Chris: He was really good, better than I thought he would. He played Sax on Marks "Have you met Miss Jones"
Sam: I told you this at the beginning but the screams omg. He did some dance moves as well . And Living on a prayer was great
Mark: He sang very well and again better than I expected. He kept interacting with the audience as well
Michelle: She sang well but I thought her new 1 was better than All this time

Highlights

Cheers for sam during "Blame it on the Boogie"
Chris playing his sax then having to stop then the crowd booing whoever it was lol
Guitarist during Marc and and andys "More that words"
Finalie during Something inside so strong then Mark and Sam hugged each other it was soooooo sad
There were other things as well but those were the funny things for me

From The Guardian

Quote:
Pop Idol management refused to provide review tickets for this show - in which the 10 finalists from the programme's second series separate mini-punters from another £28 apiece - because "Reviewing isn't the point". Quite right. The point is to staple the hapless finalists to the collective consciousness long enough for each to release a moderately successful 1970s cover version, then clear the decks for Pop Idol 3.

Thanks for this info. ()^

I loved Pop Idol. How sad....Saturday nights were lost when it finished!!

The tour would be good. Sam was a wee star. He was my favourite. @^@

Guardian article is a bit scathing - isn't it enough to let folk have fun? I suppose from a producer's point of view the idea is to have a commercial success, but don't blame the performers for taking part.
