I got a borrow of this from a friend a while back and came across it while clearing out and thought this would be an ideal book to recommend on the site.

This book is a heroic account of how fireman Pitch Picciotto survived the collapse of the twin towers and led his men to safety.

Sad isn't it Yorkie? What touched me was the list of names at the beginning.

That's great. I think it would be very moving to visit Ground Zero but something I would like to do. Have you ever been to NY? I went there in 2000 for Christmas shopping. I seen the twin towers and I just cant imagine what the skyline would be like without it. I have seen pictures and it does miss them a great deal but to see it in person would be heartbreaking.

Visiting the WTC site is quite a moving experience - I love New York and have been to the site a couple of times. It still takes quite a bit for the effect to really sink in. I heard recently that it's one of the factors affecting the sky-rocketing house prices in Scotland and elsewhere - people are more keen to move away from places like London and enjoy life in a more relaxed way.

a very good point...the likelyhood of being an
Al Qaeda victim, in a rural area ,is alot less ,than in a
major city.

A couple of my friends have been to NY recently for a couple of days and they really enjoyed it. I hope the site doesn't become a tourist site that would be disrespectful for the relatives.
