I had the same problem from about 6pm then TISCALI decided to die on me and the broadband support line was jammed. I went to bed cursing as I had a mass of emails to sort. This morning it worked perfectly :evil: ****** Tiscali :evil:

I've just in the process of getting Tiscali, is it usually good? I get the pack in 10days time, so I hope it's simple to install, with btinternet right now so hope it will be alright.

Also I had a few problems like SJC having to press refresh button all the time, but it's been alright today {@}

I know loads of people that have had terrible trouble with Tiscali. I have an email account with them and nearly every other day have trouble sending / receiving emails. Being in the trade Ive found Tiscali to be THE most complained about ISP!!

My brother signed up for broadband with them and everything went through fine, they took his credit card payment then after the 10 days were up they emailed him telling him he couldnt receive broadband in his area yet the checks went through okay. He rang BT and they said he could receive a 2mb connection so he signed up with Freeserve instead and is now happily surfing the net!!

He mentioned to some people on a forum he goes on about it and about 10people came back with similar experiences, one even had to go to Tiscali's headquarters in London with his solicitor in order that they stop taking payments for services he cancelled!!

Personally I'd stay away from them like the plague!!! :D

I have Tiscali broadband and it works fine. Never had any problems (but am willing to eat humble pie if it all goes wrong in the future!)

Oh it's not just me then. I noticed that yesterday when I posted. On the day the clocks changed I did a piece of MySQL code in the database to change the time on the forum for all the members and when I posted, the time came right, but yesterday it didn't. ${ I will have to take a look.

That post came at the right time and it says it is right in the database. It may have something to do with when the site played up the other night. Sometimes, tables drop in the database and that could cause problems, but otherwise I don't know I'm afraid.
