I don't like many films.

But I do like Bend it like Beckham and Grease.

Why are you shocked TCBon?

I like Hugh Grant in it but it wasn't as good as four weddings and a funeral!

1 - LAWRENCE OF ARABIA

The best film ever made in my opinion and created by the best director that has ever lived.

2 - THE GODFATHER TRILOGY

The sequel was better than the original which was outstanding in itself and Robert De Niro's performance along with Al Pacino's was the icing on the cake. Although Part 3 wasn't up to the first 2, I cannot put this any lower.

3 - THE STAR WARS TRILOGY (1977 - 1983)

For me, the greatest experience in a cinema. Captivated me as a kid and stayed with me for life.

4 - CITY OF GOD

Film of the century so far. Set in the slums of Rio De Jainero, it makes Goodfellas look like an episode of Rainbow. They even had to have permission from the residents (The Druglords) to make this film. Its the one place on earth, you should never think about taking a holiday. No trained actors and a story which just captivates you. OUTSTANDING!!!

5. REQUIEM FOR A DREAM

The greatest anti drug film of all time, but be warned its frightening. It follows 4 different addicts through the 4 seasons of a year and should be shown to anyone thinking of taking drugs. Ellyn Burstyn (The Exorcist) deserved an Oscar for it, was nominated and then beat by Julia Roberts. To this day, I hate Julia Roberts just for that.

Close but no cigar:

MEMENTO

If you haven't seen this, you are missing out.

Momento was one of the most original films I had ever seen. I loved the bit in the bar where they got him to spit in his own drink. It comes high on my recommended list.
