I work with a child with Asperger syndrome and read the book last year. It was brilliant. The author has a real knowledge of this area. I thought there was a bit too much swearing for it to be sold as a childs book but it was very good. I recommended it to the childs mother and she thought it was great too. I gave my copy away and wish I hadn't now. it really helped my understand AS a lot more. well worth a read.

Glad you're enjoying it. Since talking about it, I've started it again. And despite recommending it, I had forgotten how good it is.

Anyone read "Freaks, Geeks and Asperger Syndrome: A User Guide to Adolescence" by Luke Jackson? (15 years old!)
Extraordinary - he has 6 other brothers and sisters, with 2 having ADHD and Autism.

I think I saw a tv programme about this family last summer. What an amazing family they were too. Helps you to appreciate what you have when you see what lives others have to lead.

I'm reading 'Saffy's Angel' by Hilary Mckay, it;s aimed at teenaged girls, it's pretty good but I prefer her exiles trilogy more.
