Tommy's father, known as 'Weymel' posted this on Digital Spy last Sunday. Please be assured that this is genuine and that that the identity of the poster has been verified.

Just thought I would let you know, Tommy has had a serious accident and is in the Dorset County Hospital, He has fallen from a 3rd floor window (about 20ft) his injuries are not thought to be life threatning, but we shall have to wait and see, please, regardless of what you think of him, please send some good vibes his way.

(The reason I'm posting and not at hospital is because i'm waiting for a taxi, his Mum and GF have gone with him)'' Weymel.

Thankfully Tommy had a very lucky escape. His dad posted this a little later...

''Panic over, He is a very lucky boy, he has cuts and bruises to his body and a fractured ankle, but apart from that he is fine, Sorry to have burdened you....... I have been around the block a few times and seen some serious stuff, but to see him lying on the concrete unconcsious after falling 20 ft, I can tell you it scared the s**t out of me.'' Weymel.

Then at about 10.30am Weymel gave DS readers a few more details....

''I t brings reality back to you when you see something like that, Tommy was having a really good day, happy on top of the world, his sister Vicky had come to visit for the first time since the show and they are really close, and the next thing, wallop!!! It was probably Gareth (Tommy's brother ...) that saved his life by clearing his airway and getting him breathing properly again, he was spark out and his breathing was shallow and laboured. Now my point is, it doesn't matter that it was Tommy, to us Tommy is Tommy, it could be one of your relatives, so please don't take anyone for granted enjoy and love your friends and family at all times, because all it takes is a split second and you could lose them for ever.

(Mind you i'm a bit p***ed off that I have to fit childlocks on the windows because of an 18 yr old ....''

Gareth, Tommy's brother, gave us an update On Tommy's condition yesterday morning....

''he's doing pretty good now a couple of days on.
He has scratches up both of his arms and his ankles sore but apart from that he's A-ok, just finding it hard to believe it actually happened''

A number of Digital Spy's leading lights & brightest stars, including me . asked Weymel to provide some proof that he was indeed related to Tommy.

Weymel did so by posting some photos of Tommy saying hello to Kriz (a big Tommy fan on DS) & confirming that Weymel was his dad.

Eejay, thanks for clearing up the doubt raised regarding the accident. The trouble is that there are some 'funny' people out there.

God poor kid *sending good vibes* Glad he's going to be okay.

Lucky escape there, hope he gets better (and stays away from open windows)

This news has finally appeared on the 'This Is Dorset' site ...

'BIG Brother star Tommy Wright had a lucky escape when he tumbled more than 30 feet out of a third-storey window.

The Weymouth College student - who was plunged into the media spotlight after bedding fellow contestant Jade Dyer on television - suffered a broken ankle in the accident.

He fell unconscious when he hit the concrete path below and an ambulance took him to hospital where he was given the all-clear for head injuries.....'

I know these posts were written back in october but i only just joined this forum today..i would just like to say thanks for all the people who wished tommy well after his accident.. i was expecting a lot of people to say he deserved it because there are some cruel people out there..im glad to say my 'lill bro has fully recovered now. as you probabaly already know
