Memento is good with the DVD too because you get to see the film backwards which is forward, which you would understand if you have seen it. ;)

City of God is in Portuguese, so expect Subtitles if you decide ever to rent it and please be over 16 as it is very shocking.

Panto, Hellraiser is class. Its a true horror film and still disturbs me to this day. Only wish the sequels could have oozed the same.

Mutter Chops,
I must get the DVD of Memento now (my collection needs topping up. City Of God is on my list of films to watch. I think they're making Hellraiser 7 now (unless it's already been made) only seen them upto number 4.

Shona,

A nice respectable list (just don't mention too anyone I've watched Mulan, they'll laugh at me down the pub)

Pantohorse,

The DVD has the easter egg, its unlockable by putting in a search for it in any search engine.

I know Hellraiser V had none of them in (Pinhead etc...), but never seen it. Hellraiser IV was the one in space wasnt it?

Yeah, gave the history of the box, a totally differant one to the ones you find on fan sites. Fan sites usually make LeMerchand into another another De Sade.

There's a site called the Pyramid-Gallery, they have a whole set of designs for sale and a story with each one (and no, I dont work for them :D ) I found it on a search engine by accident.

I've seen the boxes for sale at memorabilia in the NEC. Some good Hellraiser stuff too, the next one is in August.

I would love to go to that, only trouble is being skint and having to rely on coaches.

They have them around the country pantohorse all the time. The NEC one I go to, just to stock up on items. I mostly go there for the football memorabilia on offer but everything is for sale regarding films including props and autographed stuff. Its ebay but on a massive scale, really.

I'd have said Requiem for a Dream is about more than drugs, much like trainspotting was, although they're completely different, I'd say it was more about addiction in general, meh.

Memento, seen it once, problem is, with clever ideas like that surely its boring to watch them a second time?

Mine are

1) Being John Malkovich

2) The Believer

3) Run Lola, Run

4) Il Postino

5) Suzhou River

But there are so many more, and those probably aren't my top five, just a few in my head right now.

Mine are:

1. Breakfast at Tiffanys

2. A Room With A View

3. Sliding Doors

4. The LadyKillers (original version)

5. Dirty Dancing

Actually I like loads of films, usually old or slushy ones! But these are probably my favourites.

This is tough as I'm also a big foreign film fan, so I'm going to cheat.
My top English speaking movies are:
Secrets and Lies
Pretty Woman
Its A Wonderful Life
Amadeus
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

And my top foreign films are

Jean De Florette
Seven Samauri
Cinema Paradiso
Throne of Blood
Solaris (the original not the George Clooney one)

I loved Seven Samauri, I had to track down the video for that some years ago. Damn cool film.
