Cricket's 20-over-a-side format has attracted a big new female audience, according to organisers and now there are plans to capitalise on it with speed-dating in the crowd.
The professional form of the short-game format was launched last year in England in the Twenty-20 Cup and is being copied in South Africa and Pakistan with other countries planning to follow suit.
One English county, Warwickshire, will line up members of the opposite sex in a speed-dating scheme in which they will have until a wicket falls to chat up each other.
