Sadly, Clestrain wasn't successful. By being on the programme though, the profile has been raised, so that's good.

Which one was successful then?

The Woollen Mill. I think they had already secured funding for the machinery but still needed money for the building.

What will happen to the future of Clestrain now?

The future is yet to come.

As for Clestrain, the fund-raising will continue in the hope that the project will continue as planned.

A lot of work is going on behind the scenes to secure some large-scale funding for the project. There's the house itself and the boat museum besides, not to mention the John Rae connection. There should be funding available for all or part of it.

I hope it does get the funding required it would be a shame to see it rot forever.

There's a plan Cameron, you want to lose weight before the Christmas Panto well why don't you get people to sponsor you and the funds can go towards the project? Just and idea of course.
