This is going to far, and I think they are getting weirder and weirder in their thoughts for reality shows and will do anything to make money.

Big Brother producers Endemol have conceived their latest controversial programme idea — in which men would compete for the right to be sperm donor to a childless woman.


But a spokesman has stressed the idea for the show — working title Make Me A Mum — was "at a very early stage", adding: "At the moment this is purely theoretical."

Nevertheless, the proposal has shocked some commentators, with Josephine Quintavalle, director of the campaigning group Comment on Reproductive Ethics, saying: "This beggars belief. It's quite unbelievable. I thought it was a bad joke when I first heard about it. Are we really so bored and jaded with life that we can stoop to this?

"It denigrates the role of parenthood and the whole process of human reproduction."

The format could see would-be dads competing for the right to have a child via artificial insemination with a woman they've never previously met.

It is reality gone too far internetsuzie. Hopefully it won't get past the theory stage.

Obviously they couldn't have actual sex, because that would give someone an unfair advantage, unless it was done like some porn scene....

The alternative of mixing 2 wads together in a beaker is just pretty foul.

And anyway, would it be possible to tell from video who's sperm was which?
